That totally fake movie The Rhythm Section has been trashed by the critics, with a 43% (as of 1835h UTC 29 Jan.) rottentomatoes.com score.

It seems that very cheap looking first trailer told a lot more about the film than anyone thought.

Someone was convinced it was a fake movie to cover filming Bond 25 and Bond 26 back-to-back. And he never conceded that he was wrong about that.

Oh okay, thanks for explaining. The less said about that the better, I think... :))

That's a shame. I wanted the rythmn section to do well. Jeremy Jahns over in Youtube gave it an okay review. I might end up watching it

    It was a hypothesis.

And with a near-3h NTTD, some of my suspicions were proved correct.

That they filmed B25 under the cover of this film? Matt had a point! :) When you’re guessing this much stuff it’s okay to be wrong about some of it.

Omega's owner, Swatch, has given Q a Swatch says GQ. And you can buy a Bond themed Swatch. One for you The Bond Experience.

I wonder if Q having a watch is just a marketing opportunity or if Q will have a gadget capable watch which he uses in the field?

The final Spectre and Skyfall trailers were only 1min 10sec long but they showed new scenes, as did Spectre's seven TV spots, so there should be plenty more to see before the film comes out.

SPOILER WARNING WITH THIS NEWSPAPER ARTICLE

Avoiding all spoilers, so I didn't read the article but I am guessing that they got that running time from the same sources as MI6 and you did. The almost three hour running time could certainly be true but it wouldn't surprise me either if it ends up being closer to 2 1/2 hours. We have been privy to some of the location filming, but as far as what was being shot at Pinewood, we have literally seen nothing. With the way that so many films basically show you everything and anything that is good in the trailer, it would actually be welcome and refreshing to see that there is much more to NTTD than what was shown in the trailer.

Allegedly, according to a guy who works at a US TV station there will be an 30-45 second NTTD trailer during the Super Bowl during the 2nd quarter. Here is their original Reddit post.

The Daniel Craig portrayal of Bond I wouldn't really call a snob at all. Atleast not in the vein of earlier incarnations and especially compared to the literary Bond. So seeing him drink Heinken isn't much of a stretch for me.

I agree regarding Craig’s Bond, don’t think Fleming’s Bond was a snob at all. People mistake his eccentricities for snobbery. I don’t view them as the same thing.

Just checking, discussing scenes from a widely released trailer isn't a "spoiler" right? It's not like its info gained from spy pics/videos or a cast member talking too much in an interview.

and nevermind...I guess we're starting another trailer thread about this new one.

Fleming's Bond judges other people for being snobs. But in passing judgement on others' tastes, doesn't that make him a snob too?

Here are two definitions for snob:

    1. a person with an exaggerated respect for high social position or wealth who seeks to associate with social superiors and dislikes people or activities regarded as lower-class.

    2. a person who believes that their tastes in a particular area are superior to those of other people

Fleming's Bond does not fit definition 1, but he certainly fits definition 2.

This is true, Craig is the "do I look like I give a damn" Bond. But he's already indulging in more expensive tastes when he insists on changing hotels in the second film.

I apologise for the pejorative term "snob". What I mean is, classic Bond knew his wines, he debated vintages with Dr No, and insulted his own boss's taste in wine in Goldfinger in front of a guest. In this age of craft beers, where beer people now get to talk like wine people once did, I believe Bond should be a little more particular about what beer he drinks. Or at least I'd like to see James Bond discussing obscure Belgian triples and Trappist monks he knows personally.

The term "snob" has stuck to Bond because of a notorious bad review Fleming got back in the 1950s. I don't actually believe Bond is a sadist, either.

Bond needn't question Lashana Lynch's piloting skills, he obviously hasn't seen Captain Marvel. Lashana Lynch can fly an alien Kree spacrecraft if she has to.

What is the voice whispering at 22 seconds, just before the rapid montage of faces?
