Looking great in that coat, cederic0011! I can see it being very useful, especially in spring and autumn.

I’ve had the Skyfall and Spectre AT’s. Both were lovely watches but the lume was dreadful on both. I wonder if they’ve improved that.

I second that, the SF lume is shocking! I’ve had watches costing less than 5% of what my SF cost with a brighter and longer lasting lume.

Yup, I think you are wrong. It’s the previous (SPECTRE) model with vertical decking on the dial and a date window at 3 o’clock.

On closer inspection, the date window is definitely at 3 o'clock. Strange that they haven't opted for a new model.

Guess supposed to he continuation of the watch from SPECTRE.

Though if that was the case it would of been cooler and made more sense to slap that vintage Omega Chrono on his wrist from the final scene in the DB5 with Lea

Yes I’d have liked that. Perhaps harder to double in action scenes though.

Nicely put together , no idea there was so many very interesting
I have the 40th anniversary one , then planet ocean 007 casino royale one and the NTTD one is coming.
Omega lost my Spectre one so I'm having the NTTD one as replacement and much more but thats another story :))

Love this image of the watch - if it looks like this on my wrist I will be very happy.

In the end the SPECTRE Seamaster annoyed me due to the long lugs, case height and inner silver bezel that was a scratch magnet. Fixed all this things thankfully!

Lovely isn't it. I really enjoyed the interview with Mr. Monachon at Omega, 22 Bond watches since Goldeneye! They have done well out of the partnership that is for sure. I was bored so I put together a list of all 22. When I was in my early twenties I bought the 300M Quartz. I was the first expensive watch I ever bought. I have since parted with it and now own a Skyfall Planet Ocean (13).

Interested to hear what pieces others own.

    Giubbino-Measurments-Chart-Revised-2.jpg

I appreciate the conversion but I'm still confused how the shoulders are so narrow unless they're measuring the bottom part of the shoulder and not the upper. I'd hate to buy this jacket and not be able to exchange it as they're only making 150 of them :#

For the Giubbino, consider measuring a typical denim trucker jacket. The construction of a denim jacket is such that you can measure from shoulder to should across the top. But you can also measure the seam that comprises the top of the back panel, which also goes from shoulder to shoulder, but more across the scapulae. If you take the second measurement (which some here have suggested could also the the front measurement of the shoulders), you'll find a smaller measurement than if you measure across the top.

I believe the Giubbino measurement is the lower-down-the-shoulders measurement: see image below from Maximos:

    thumbnail-image001.png

Am I right if I say the Connolly is one size smaller than the Mango?

I got the Mango in M and just measured it. Shoulder to shoulder is 50cm, and I measured it as suggested by Maximo. Chest around 62cm, back lenght 64cm and Sleeve lenght around 65cm. Therefore quite close to the Connolly in L except the shoulders where I am yet a bit confused.

Yeah what the final result, the NTTD replacement seemed reasonable, but what else are they doing? I do find it hard to believe that can’t replace it.

Like some others here I tried the Vuarnet Edge 1613s and the round lenses didn't work at all on my face.

I should note that I'm not a collector. SA doesn't mean that much to me. I won't wear something that works on Craig but doesn't suit me. I like to draw inspiration from Bond and integrate the look into my own style. With that in mind I started looking at the other Vuarnet Edge models. Here's one nearly identical to the 1613s but with more conventional aviator lenses (1614):

    VL161400011121-3-2000x2000.jpg

The 1615s are similar, too, just more rectangular in shape:

    VL161500081622-3-2000x2000.jpg

These are the ones I'm going to try. The reality is that these 1614 and 1615 sunglasses are going to look like the NTTD models to most people, especially if they work with your face shape.

I'm offering this here for others who wish they could wear the 1613s but might like alternatives.

I seem to have the opposite experience of a lot people regarding the Vuarnets. The Edge fit me pretty well whereas the Legend do not. I still think they're pretty silly looking though.

    Thanks for the recs, Cheverian!

I'm with you - SA doesn't take priority over what looks best on me. What some people seem to ignore is that not every screen-worn style flatters DC either.

We're fast approaching mid-February, and no word still on N Peal's commando sweater release date? The suspense is killing me! Anyone know if this might be pushed back?

Ps, it stings a little looking at the invoice for my N Peal Spectre mockneck. £195 at the time it was first released. Fast forward today, and it's more than double the cost. If only I'd known, I'd have picked up a spare!

Speaking of releases, wasn't Tommy Bahama doing a re-release of the SA Catalina shirt at some point? Does anyone remember when that was going to be?

Slightly off topic but, I guess in around 24-36 hours we would have heard the theme song!

Anyone know how the sizing is? I'm typically a large in most brands. RT jacket in large fits like a dream for example.

Fantastic! Thank you! I did register on their website a while back, but never knew they announced that specific date.
If it was via email, it must have gone straight to the spam folder... ugh. Will be sure to set my calendar. :)

Regarding N Peal sizing, I think it should be true to size, assuming they haven't changed their fit since Spectre's original release. With their mockneck, I bought a medium and it was a nice trim fit, similar to how my Rogue Territory fits. Kind of an slim/athletic cut. I think it might depend on the sweater though, as I seem to recall the fumo turtleneck being roomier.

    Supply issues?

    Hope you are well.

We've been informed by our Barton Perreira distributor that there has been a delay in shipment for all Joe and Norton sunglasses for the whole of the UK and Europe. The new estimated dates that we have received are 7th March for Joe sunglasses and 16th March for Norton sunglasses, however there is a possibility we will get the earlier allocation, which we are currently trying to push for. We apologise for the delay and possible inconvenience this may have caused. We will keep you updated if the dates change.

We remain hopeful that your glasses will be shipped out soon!

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions in the meantime.

    Kind regards,

    The Chakshu London Team
