Re: Bond fitness thread

Though I posted this pic in the NTTD clothing thread already I thought it was relevant here because I think many of us aren't content with just wearing Bonds clothes, we want to look strong and capable in them like Craig does. And as a thin ectomorph like myself its a constant uphill battle but I'm proud of the progress made so far.

Looking good, keep up the great work!

As a longtime distance runner and triathlete I also have to work hard to gain muscle (made harder at 53 years old!!).

Re: Bond fitness thread

Good work everyone.

I currently am starting a strength routine at the gym with lots of free weights. It's been going well so far as my soreness is really prevalent!

I ran distance in high school and college, and now a few years later have gotten a bit of a gut. So I'm a "skinny fat".

Working on bulking up, while not wanting to balloon.

As a short guy at 5'5, and 140 lbs, maybe I'll look like a more bulkier Ben Whisaw Q with my hair I have right now!

Re: Bond fitness thread

Gotta love a burpee.....

I’m doing various free weights HIRT circuits (kettlebells, dumbbells etc) at the moment. Planning on around 4 weeks of this before a more focussed plan to build muscle.

"Skinny Fat" Love it! ajb007/lol As a runner also and somebody who takes a 'ridiculous pleasure in what I eat and drink' I can definitely relate to your physique! ajb007/cheers

It's tough! But hopefully bulking up will even it all out and eliminate the belly a bit. It's a long road ahead.

This is true for anything other than a suit. One reason why the suit pictured on Craig looks so bad is that his physique is difficult to tailor. An overweight Roger Moore in The Persuaders looked better in a suit. In knitwear it helps to have Craig's physique. Then again, I know some women who would say the skinny man on the right looks better.

I definitely thought of your past observations regarding the super-tight fit of DC's suits in SF and SP and how they fight against his physique rather then accentuate it. And also agree regarding the two bottom pictures, the guy on the right of Craig doesn't look bad at all!

I respectfully disagree, it is true that the fit of DC suits in SF and S were suspect, in my opinion if a suit is properly fitted nothing looks better or more powerful than a muscular physique in a nice properly tailored suit.  Just my .02 cents.

Re: Bond fitness thread

I think they should’ve used a more contrasting pic for the dress shirt comparison; I can’t really see much of a difference between the two.

Yes I agree with you. And we mustn't forget that Bond/Craig clothes, even shirts, are tailored for him !!! I'm not sure the guy on the right wears a tailored shirt and trouser.......and I think he is not so bad at all !!!!

Re: Bond fitness thread

I agree it’s a poor comparison.

Re: Bond fitness thread

I think garment overall, in particular dress shirts, should be filled out so to speak. For that reason being muscular gives a more appealing look than being lean. Everthing in moderation of course. Has to be natural; some people are athletically built and others are not.

Definitely prefer DC over the guy to the right.

Looking for a ROYALE Filmwear Talamone Shawl Collar Cardigan, size medium. Preferably in Europe, but the US would work as well. Feel free to send a PM!
