Gotta admit it took a little while for me to notice the new jacket considering what else there is to look at in the picture :))

On my phone I thought it was the Tommy Bahama outfit under the Connolly jacket

Looks similar to the Connolly but I think its not because of missing drawstrings and this one seems to have lighter buttons

Also there appears to be an extra button? more in the center.

Most likely a throat latch with button; similar to a Barbour Bedale jacket.

Feels like another dad jacket to me.

The only knee length coats (or non waist length) DC suits imo are his wool overcoats. Not a fan of this or the MA duster. Both feel old, unflattering and something my dad would wear which imo isn’t something Bond would normally wear regardless of the context of the character situation.

Looks like this jacket is over the TF jeans and TB black shirt.

For those that feel this fits the context, Bond wore the great TF Harrington in a bar / backstreet setting in QOS BEFORE the Perla De Las Dunas hotel scenes and that was an iconic jacket in DC’s tenure so it’s proven that a good jacket can still rock a scene regardless of context.

    Not for me this new jacket , but each the their own -{

Yeah I’m not into this style of jacket, but workwear is trendy right now and Craig’s is the trendy Bond, surpassing Roger by leaps and bounds.

waist length for sure, looks to be a looser fit than many of the previous jackets, I agree about the duster but this look like it has a lot of potential to me, anxious to see more.

    Hence the bracketed bit.

I wouldn’t class this as knee length to clarify.
Duster is a no and this doesn’t tick the boxes for me. This is a little longer than waist length imo and a relaxed fit which I don’t think suits Craig with casual stuff but that’s just my thoughts.

Do you guys think the image is reversed?

Men’s jacket buttons are normally on the right hand side of the jacket

No. Daniel Craig‘s hair fall to the right side (from his left to his right). Therefore the image is the correct way round.

They're probably press studs, not buttons.

After a quick search, I’m seeing loads of similar navy chore coats and “shirt jackets” out there. Could be anything until we see a better shot of it. I wonder if it could even be a denim jacket? Seems like that 70s butterfly collar and pocket on the chest with the offset button are the key details to look for.

Thanks Ray! Great vlog too... I think mine will last for ages, in NZ shooting opportunities are limited now, so just precision long range for me, so minimal recoil damage!!!

Awesome review as always, Ray! I got my Mil-Tec's for 20 bucks in XL, and not surprisingly, they're a little baggy. As mentioned by others, it's best to choose one size down.

For anyone who, like myself, is a fan of V-necks, I recently received this $40 alternative to the commando sweater:

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NATO-Forces-Force-Cadet-Security-Military-Army-Acrylic-V-neck-Jumper/172260953510?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=471081609264&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

    s-l500.jpg

It has the ribbed design, and shoulder/elbow pads look to be in a similar position. The only thing to note is that it has velcro epaulettes (a new look for me) - though of course, these can be unstitched. Naturally, I got one in navy, and the blue is a good match for the SA one. I only bought it to pose with some props, but am very happy with the quality and feel, so quite looking forward to wearing it in winter.

And with that purchase, I can now say I'm a collector of Alternative Bond clothing :D
