I think that will definitely take a big chunk out of its total box office gross. Especially since China is such a massive market for films.

I wonder if this is just the Dec 4 trailer in Indian languages?

But, we can expect a final trailer in the next week or so.

I just booked tickets for opening night in our IMAX theatre here in Cape Town. It finally feels real now...a new Bond film really is just several weeks away. I need to use the next five weeks wisely though, training my bladder to last 163 minutes without complaining that it needs relief. The last thing I want is a repeat of my Casino Royale opening night experience, where I was in need of a piss before the main titles had even finished, and I held it in until the very end. I even insisted on waiting to see the words 'James Bond Will Return'. When I finally did find relief, my toilet break felt a bit like Austin Powers after he awakes from his cryo-sleep.

JamesBondRadio has posted a complete audio recording of the 11 February Robert Wade event at Chichester University.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9tu-MvnuFg

At 44mins the interviewer gets onto NTTD. Wade says their idea for NTTD was "brave" and goes on to say; "We talked about it with Daniel and he was on-board. I don't think we fully pulled it off. There was no director at that stage. We went back to our script [after Boyle left] and then Fukunaga, and he's a writer as well...and [we] fitted into what he wanted to do."

At 51min the interviewer asks about NTTD and he tells Wade that NTTD has a smaller budget than SPECTRE, which Wade doesn't comment on, and amazingly the interviewer says, quite categorically, that NTTD will have a 15 certificate. Wade says he's surprised to hear that and adds that NTTD is, 'good, but not disturbing'. The interviewer is insistent it's a 15 and talks about how Goldeneye was a 15 (I've checked and that is correct, it was) and he says LTK was almost an 18.

At 1h 6min, Wade says he's seen a rough cut of NTTD. Curiously after being asked if the rumours of it being 3h long are true, which Wade denies, he immediately adds that "Casino was quite long but it didn't feel it," and he says he found Quantum 'long'. Personally, Quantum has always whizzed by for me. Wade might be bitchy about Quantum as QoS director Marc Forster dumped the P&W script for his own.

This Twitter account was present at the event and reports some of Wade's comments.

Obviously, P&W's NTTD script has gone through several permutations. I would think that writers tend to prefer their own original script drafts. How "brave" their original idea was I couldn't begin to comment on as I have no idea what it was or what is left of it in NTTD. Based upon the talent brought in to re-write/finish the P&W, my guess is that the final draft is better than what P&W had. :))
    We do know that NTTD has a PG-13 for the US. I'm not very familiar with the UK ratings, but I think the UK ratings are more sensitive and less liberal when it comes to violence while MPAA ratings here in the USA are more liberal when it comes to violence and more restrictive with nudity and sex. Take that how you will. -{

Interestingly, SPECTRE almost became an 15. I looked at the BBFC webpage for Spectre (https://bbfc.co.uk/case-studies/spectre) and it says this: "The BBFC advised that a 15 rating seemed the most probable outcome, citing strong bloody detail during a scene of eye-gouging and further bloody detail in the aftermath of the suicide of a terminally ill man. The distributor chose to reduce or remove elements of these scenes. BBFC staff viewed a re-edited version and advised that, now without strong bloody detail, the film was likely to be classified at 12A." [Emphasis in bold added.]

I think we have already seen why NTTD could be a 15. I'll explain in a spoiler box.
In the NBA TV spot we could see Felix Leiter slumping down with blood all over his stomach, which I wrote about here; https://www.ajb007.co.uk/post/970302/#p970302
The bloody detail of Leiter's injury might be what makes NTTD a 15 for the BBFC. I seemed to remember that Mathis' death in Qos was quite bloody, but on watching that scene again just now, while there is visible blood there is little of it.

If I'm not mistaken didn't the theatrical version of LTK in the UK have a bit of the violence trimmed while the US version was uncut?

Pretty cool poster but I don’t like the fact that they’ve repeated characters on it—Bond’s on there three times; four if you count the glider. Would’ve like to see Leiter and maybe M on there instead.

The placement of Ben Whishaw's name in the credits also indicates Q will play a bigger role, like in Spectre, but so far all we have seen of him is in typical scenes with M and Moneypenny. I am also surprised Madeleine is not larger in the poster considering the official one sheet where she is side by side with Bond. I like the poster but I would have had two large figures of Bond and Madeleine looking in opposite directions, similar to the SPECTRE poster, and Safin placed where he is now, in the middle, but a little larger, and then have Nomi, Q, Paloma and Leiter smaller figures place around Safin.

I think the UK cut the bit where Heller comes smashing through a wall impaled on a forklift as Sanchez's drug factory is blowing up.

We should see some of those contest posters soon. This new one is ok I guess. We've seen this style from other movie posters though. Kind of expect more or better from the final Daniel Craig Bond poster.

Alternative character posters for Bond and Nomi have been released on a Scottish cinema's Facebook page as a motion poster which announces tickets on sale tomorrow.

I wonder if anything should be read into the fact that the two characters they chose for the motion poster could have the code name 007?

Has this been confirmed as an official poster? I've seen it posted on IMPawards and various social media accounts but I haven't seen it on any official channels. My first impression was that it was a fan made poster, but am I wrong? If it is an official poster I will be pretty happy. It is certainly more visually arresting than most of what has been produced for the Daniel Craig films.

It is official, bc the big shot of DC and the one in the Aston are „new“ and couldn‘t have been photoshopped or created by fans.

It would probably make sense to push back the release of NTTD in those markets. Hopefully this virus can be gotten under control sooner than later. People's health and well being is all that matters.

I think we should assume that if the virus continue to spread in the US and elsewhere, the release will get pushed everywhere, which will cost them millions. Just one more reason to expect adoption of a streaming model for Bond sometime in the not-to-distant future.
