Re: AJB live commentary on LTK

TND has a lot going for it, including a plot that actually makes sense and is somewhat believable.  There's decent action, good acting, and some good comedy to be had.  If the edit were tightened a bit to heighten the tension, it'd be top tier.  As it stands now, some of the pacing lacks oomph, but it's nothing egregious.  The only real issue with the film is with Stamper being a kinda non-entity.

It IS good.  At least it sounds like a Bond film unlike that barfbag of noises that we had in the prior film.

Re: AJB live commentary on LTK

TND uses Bond plot No2, which hasn't been used since unfortunately, so it appeals to me strongly.

Was this David Arnold's first go at scoring a Bond film?

Don‘t rush me  ajb007/biggrin

However, we also have a higher than average page count, which should not be ignored.

Re: AJB live commentary on LTK

Dalton was book Bond personified. No one has come anywhere near as close to Fleming’s character as Dalton did. His acting in LTK will never be equalled for true Bond purists who love the novels.

Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
