Re: Budget Bond Collectors Resource

Stuarts is a great store - always have great stock and do some brilliant sales - always worth keeping an eye on.  Astorflex are brilliant, know they make shoes for a lot of other stores (J.Crew for instance) but I'm not sure if they make shoes for Drakes - definitely plausible though.  Regardless they're great looking boots - nice find.

Re: Budget Bond Collectors Resource

No they're not screen accurate there's a seam at the toe but maybe you could dye them Brown to get nearer to the Drakes .

Re: Budget Bond Collectors Resource

I believe the SA boots are Drakes, but style wise those are very close, the SA are also dark brown which have been very difficult to find in the Astroflex.  Nice discount on those though, they are great looking boots.  Sorry for the duplication on that answer, I had not read all the way through the thread yet.

J. Crew also sold the Astroflex under their own brand name in a gray color and I have those, had a shoe guy die them dark brown and they are incredibly comfortable to wear, there are some pics earlier in this thread.

Re: Budget Bond Collectors Resource

Not sure if these have been mentioned on here before, but thought I would leave this here:

Should add as well the ETA 2824-2 movement they utilise is a Swatch owned masterpiece (they also own Omega), widely lauded; they come with 300m WR from a legitimate dive watch company.

I'm sorting a new watch, and fancy one of these, but haven't decided quite yet where my money will go.

J Crew has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

I wonder how many stores will reopen after the Covid pandemic finally passes?

The New York Times has an interesting article on J Crew also lacking an identity.

J. Crew Is Also Bankrupt in Terms of Identity

The J.Crew Kenton Pacer Boots are already discounted (-40%) - so get them while they last.  It seems this will finally be the end of these boots unfortunately.

Scored.  The price may not be considered "budget" by some but I would say between the quality and the comfort these are worth it versus finding an alternative.

Re: Budget Bond Collectors Resource

I posted this in another thread but i figured i'd post it here as well...Neiman Marcus and John Varvatos have both filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Apparently Neiman Marcus hopes to be out of BK proceedings by the end of the fall and JV is trying to sell itself ajb007/crap Also it appears that JC Penney is looking into bankruptcy (not surprised by this) as well as Lord and Taylor!

Does anyone own this Brosnan Hawaian shirt alternative?
https://alohafunwear.com/products/bambo … iian-shirt

From the provided size chart it appears that it runs HUGE, did you size down or does it fit smaller than what is indicated?  52 inch chest for a large woof, I'm ready to pull the trigger on this for summer but need to get the right size if possible

Yes that kind of shirts are quite large. We bought a "Magnum" one for my dad and we sized down one size and it fits good.

Re: Budget Bond Collectors Resource

I've tried to order from them 3 times in the past and for whatever reason they've never accepted payment or processed my order. Not sure what's going on there but just thought you should know.

Re: Budget Bond Collectors Resource

VERY budget alternative for Connery’s Royal Blue shirt from Thunderball. This is a great colour match and has the Capri collar as well. Nice soft material for summer too.

Does anybody know of alternatives to the Matera short-sleeve white henley?

I know of the Alfani one from Macy's, but its around $20 for the shirt and then $45 in shipping and customs to Denmark...

Re: Budget Bond Collectors Resource

Hey guys,
I stumbled onto these on Amazon as an alternative to the Levi's Sta Press Haiti jeans, they are perhaps slightly lighter than SA jeans but my size was less than $9 and the fit is to my liking.
