So is her name Bianca (as in the credits) or "Karina", as Bond seems to say?

Don't speak the language, but maybe it means "darling" or similar?

The trick With the rocket following the miniplane is laughably simple, but it works!

    That's what I always assumed

Q really outdid himself with the Acrostar Beds. Marvellous start!
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

The pursuit by the heat seeking missile is genuinely exciting.

Before tonight I'd never noticed that the long shot of the jet flying towards the hangar is not the BD-5, but some sort of Learjet style aircraft.

As far as I know, it didn't get that far

I have a theory OP is the best first Bond film for children. I'll think of it when watching tonight.

Possibly Binder's most ho-hum sequence. The guy swinging the girl around clearly looks nothing like Bond in silhouette, so what's he doing here. The girl looking down at the emission of a 007 logo from her gun, with all its orgasmic suggestiveness, gives a couple of oddly creepy fake smiles.

George MacDonald Fraser, author of the Flashman series among others, knew a lot about India hence his involvement

That is very Fleming imo, a very cool beginning!

Diegetic circus music, then “009 Gets The Knife”

Was the establishing 'East Berlin' shot actually filmed on location? Anybody know?

The twins almost look like a young Mr Meddings.

Before we see it, I remember seeing the replica prop egg in London at Designing 007.
    It’s breathtaking!

Totally! Perhaps Binder asked Sir Rog to do it, and was told what he could do?

The use of a clown figure is played both here and later with an effect which includes pathos, and is quite unsettling - which is good.

Lois Maxwell accidentally said “Penelope Smallbush”, causing Sir Rog to quip “Well, really, Miss Moneypenny! We can see where YOUR mind is!”

I don‘t think so, but if it was, I‘d love to visit the location next time that I am meeting up with Barbel {[]

Ex-Sherlock Holmes Douglas Wilmer as Fanning. Called Fanshawe in Fleming, but that was a real guy so the name had to be changed

Positioning an assistant who might replace Lois is a similar technique to what they did with Q when they brought in John Cleese in TWINE.
