Moore looks constipated when lusting over Saida during her dance. Doesn't compare at all with Connery's overt leering during the belly dance in FRWL.
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

I like Moore's wolfish smile when M basically endorses 007 to go kill Scaramanga.

An example of how Moore tries to be a harder-edged Bond in this film (than he later became).

The Beirut sequence isn't very good. More local flavour with 007 walking the streets would have improved things.

Where they in Beirut at all?

Calthorpe has a bit to do here, but Q would have been fine for this scene without him.

This cue is not on the OST and would certainly have improved it.

This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

Marne Maitland, frequently in British movies such as Hammer or Pink Panther- wonderful as Lazar.

Shot of Macau neon lights with an Eastern-flavour use of Bond theme. Re-living 'Bond in Japan' from YOLT.

Moore plays Bond with much more confidence than LALD.

    He is Bond!

The Lazar sequence is a highlight of the first half of TMWTGG. "Speak now, or forever hold your piece/peace" was Sir Roger's favourite Bond line, and I agree it's one of the best.

One of Moore's best scenes in the film is this one with Lazar.

I have a theory that Cubby's obvious liking for Maud in terms of casting (and repeated casting) is that she looked rather like an idealised Dana.

Goodnight is very tolerant of Bond's terrible mood.

You know, in the Macao scenes I can actually see Moore in The Jackal.
