Gonzales is a more than adequately despicable sub-villain.
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

The sinking of the St George is the most harrowing of the series' doomed crew sequences. Edgier in its realism even than the fate of The Devonshire crew in TND.

Agreed... the abrupt cut, and later the corpses floating about.. dramatic and creepy.
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

Sir Timothy Havelock, played by Jack Hedley. A very good British character actor who I've seen in many things over the years. Besides FYEO I remember him best for a guest role in one of my favourite episodes of Only Fools and Horses.

Although Carole Bouquet's intonations and inflections often seem to follow Nikki's...

Machine that’s pointless! Moneypenny’s make up drawer.

Pointless cause Lois Maxwell didn’t need all that warpaint.

Yes, but she never claimed it was her- and she certainly would have! :))

Plenty of Fleming in this movie- here, the Havelocks being killed by Gonzales is adapted from the FYEO story

The Fleming references in this script are one of the primary attractions of this film. It was clearly the most faithful-to-Fleming Bond film in a decade or more.

This is one of the few Bond film that focuses on the cold war. FRWL, TLD ... I can't think of any others right now.
