Lindy Hemming had said that the shirt in the film was a heavy blue silk. I am tempted to do the burn test with the costume card to see if it's silk.

Can you post a photo of the costume card?

Also, for anyone that might now.. where is that CR swatches card coming from?

sruzgar posted a photo of it above. It's from Rittenhouse, and they come up on eBay frequently.

I thought Alfani was the accepted answer for years. Wonder when the accepted answer shifted. I thought I was paying attention!

Oh it is the same one then.

Rittenhouse, as in Rittenhouse auctions? I wonder if there is anything else written on the back side. I was actually wondering who produced those.

Here's the front and back of the card from a recent ebay auction.

For those with the Alfani shirt, does the close up of the fabric match the Alfani or not?

Hey fellas, what did I miss? oh...

Westward_Drift, looking at my Alfani shirt I have to say it does not match the costume swatch at all :(

sruzgar, do you have ANY more information to share about the screen used shirt?

Remember there were swatches available and that this was NOT an Alfani shirt as originally thought.

How interesting. So this swatch does not match the Alfani shirt? Lindy Hemming had said that the shirt in the film was a heavy blue silk. I am tempted to do the burn test with the costume card to see if it's silk.

Wasn't the Alfani 100% polyester faux suede.

Def doesn't match that fabric detail on the costume card anyhow

I still find it interesting we still don't have a definitive answer 14 years later.

So does this make the "last minute" story bogus?

Well we know there was 3 custom made shirts in Casino Royale with material Lindy liked so maybe this shirt was also the same

Could the screen used shirt be Alfani while the Costume Card was the original shirt that was replaced at the last minute?

    So who's calling Lindy?

Lindy certainly refers to the shirt as navy blue in the DVD audio commentary.
