    I got the short sleeved version last year and I had to go from my usual XL down to a L and if I wanted a more snug fit, could have even gone down to a M. They fit very big. -{

    Bond: “I must be dreaming.”
  • Thought I would chime in. I ordered a size S and a size M...the S looked fine in the mirror but when I crossed my arms it felt really tight in the back, it's the front portion of the shirt that has all the room that makes it feel "big". I bounce around from a size 40 to a size 42 chest. In the end, I sent the S back because I didn't like the tight feeling. My waist is anywhere between a 30-33. If I want the shirt perfect, I would have the medium tailored slightly. Don't expect this item to fit perfectly off the rack. The problem seems to be the huge gap and difference between sizes, the jump from S to M and M to L and L to XL are not very subtle.

I called today looking for a Small and tried both style numbers, the gentlemen informed me that both the smalls and mediums were sold out. :(

Definitely model T316035. I mistyped it last time.

I ordered another medium yesterday (Sunday). I called my closest Tommy Bahama store and the clerk ordered one without an issue. It's shipped and due to reach me in a few days. Maybe I am just lucking out.

If anyone has had recent success purchasing a size small do you mind informing me which store you coordinated with? I'd love to give them a call haha.

Why don’t they have a store in U.K.? Lol

Can’t complain though we have some big brands here.

Has anyone ordered one to get sent to Australia?

Also wonder about getting S or XS. I can go with either size in uniqlo and it sounds like TB fit 'large'.

FWIW, I'm usually most comfortable in a medium and, based on everyone's review of TB sizing, I went with a small. The fit will eventually be fine as I'm still shedding all the COVID weight I packed on (got up to 180; I'm normally about 165). But it might not be as oversized as you're expecting. If I weren't planning on losing another 10 pounds I'd probably want a medium.

But if you're between sizes you're safe sizing down, for sure.

I read that the re-release Tommy Bahama shirt will be for sale on 22th of July 2020. I just checked their website and I do not see the TB Catalina shirt for sale. Is there update information about this?

I sent TB an email but never received an answer. I would love to have this shirt. I live in Europe so to call them and order a shirt by phone is for me not an option unfortunately. I hope someone can help me with more information.

    Thanks!

Yes, it was announced for yesterday (22. July) but they postponed it, I received a reply yesterday:

Thanks for reaching out! This is Fanny here at Tommy Bahama Guest Services. We are so glad to hear your interest in our Catalina Twill Shirt! At this time, we are scheduled to restock some colors mid September.

this is what they told other members too if you look on page 2 or 3, so we will have to wait again :/
I don't know what the problem is, they must have tons of them now, why not just selling them?

I know there is a chance to order the shirt via phone but I live in the eu and its just too expensive, I actually wanted to ask if an ajb member who lives in america could order and send me the shirt, of course I would pay everything in advance

This community is amazing. Some really good people here. Westward_Drift helped me out and I'm not even UK based. Just terrible at convincing TB sales reps to sell me stuff.

    Frommeyer, glad to help.

I believe one of the shirts I sent to the UK made it to you, Chris. Wear it in good health. Great Instagram picture, btw.

its kind of difficult/expensiveto order the Shirt via phone when you live in europe so I would appreciate any help with that very much.
I am too impatient to wait for September just to hear that it will be postponed again haha

Here you go. This is a size medium shirt. As you can see, it's more like a large (or even an extra large). I'm a size 41 suit (in US sizing) and I typically float between a medium and a large in most brands. I know that TB products tend to run large so I got a medium, but I think a small would have been better.

Thanks Gymkata for the photos, really helpful!

I'm also 41" and I guess this confirms that I need a size small then.

This whole Tommy Bahama release has become quite confusing and frustrating. After just missing out on snagging one of these when the shirt was first ID'd, I patiently waited (like most of you here) for the re-release of it this past Spring. It was then pushed to July, and now for some unknown reason, to September. But yet oddly, some of you have been able to not only order, but actually receive this shirt. I have a number of TB boutiques and outlets near me - I've called every one of them, and no one has any stock. I reached out to the TB customer service as VegasBond had suggested after receiving his, but again, they did not have any information or stock of this shirt. I tried 4 separate times and spoke to 4 separate reps, and none could even provide an updated re-release date. A fifth attempt this afternoon has yielded a glimmer of hope as the rep said they would do some further digging and get back to me. But hardly a done deal. And FYI, when I gave them the SKU number 023793100887, they said that wasn't even their SKU system. They only use style codes that begin with "T." So I gave them style # T316035. It would appear that in most of the TB systems, this number is still tied to the 2019 shirt which will lead most people to be directed to the outlet stores, which haven't had stock of this shirt in at least 6-8 months.

For those of you who have actually succeeded in getting one of these shirts direct from TB, can you provide any additional insight as to how the TB rep was able to locate any stock? Did they say "let me check our other database," or "try calling XYZ number." Like so many here, I'm just dumbfounded as to the lack of organization within TB and the randomness with how this has worked for some. Any info will be helpful, and I'm also happy to assist any of you outside the US in getting their hands on these, once we can figure out how!

    Kind regards,
    Craig

    PS - I'm looking for a Small.

I went with a large, albeit, the short sleeve version and it is still pretty large. I hope you are able to get one!

DBS, ask for Model T316035, Catalina twill long sleeve shirt in black. I had a typo in the model number in an earlier post.

I'm debating trying to get this at some point. I'm typically a small, but due to working out I will have to size up to a medium starting with my t-shirts soon and likely polos and other shirts in the nearish future as the shoulders are my main problem area.

I'm thinking XS is the way to go. I'm about 5'7", 36 inch chest (working on it :)) ), and 31 inch waist. I would just hate to run into issues in the shoulders, but I think the small will be a tent and it would be difficult to alter it to a SA look.

I think I've only seen people get mediums and larges so far. Has anyone gotten a small?

I did. I'm 5'10 with a 32 waist. This is how it fits me:

Despite still carrying a little COVID weight (I'm about 5-7 pounds heavier than normal) it fits just about perfectly. I workout a lot and I have fairly broad shoulders. So you should probably avoid the medium.

What's your chest size? I would definitely need an XS right now. Maybe a small could work if I add enough mass, but I think that would be a bit risky. I think as long as the XS has enough room in the shoulders I could achieve a SA look with enough time in the gym.

I have a small. The fit is pretty SA (it's not tight on Craig) and I have a 39" chest and a 32" waist (sometimes 31 :p )
