Now there is only one question open:

Which dial variant was Roger‘s own watch?
Seems that the DayDate variant in e french article is really black.

Moore‘s watch from the pics was a date only, so maybe there was a black dial variant available?

To my knowledge,  there is only one color for the dial.
It is a blueish/dark color,  (looks blue under the light).

Coming back to the SA model, I would vote for the "Swiss" dial, but difficult to be 100% sure.
I will send later pics to illustrate it.

The right one looks like black

Though I know that metallic blue dials where very popular back then.

It looks black under certain angles.
Also, some dials have faded under the sun

Under the light, the dial looks black, but please see the upper part of the dial, you will see some blueish shade.

The blue/green sheen of the dial is absolutely invisible in certain light. You kind of have to work a bit to get that color to show up in photos.

Nice I like that a lot.
How do you turn the bezel?

The bezel is fully recessed into the case at 9 and 3, but accessible at 12 and 6.

Now can you identify this watch?

Flipped in post, hence on the right arm. The bracelet looks like a Rolex?

Re: Another unknown James Bond Rolex. First (in the Bond World) on AJB!!

Could be a Rolex Datejust with an oyster band.
Dial looks silver or white

Coincidentally I was watching Golden Gun this weekend and you can see he's wearing the one with the cyclops fairly clearly in the hotel room scene with Goodnight and Anders. Looks like he wears it all the way through the film.

Well, as it‘s very much likely Moore‘s personal watch, it could have been purchased much earlier than when the movie has been shot - or not  ajb007/biggrin

I doubt it's his personal watch though, did he go in for this style? Doesn't seem very Moore. It's Bond's wardrobe.

I watched the movie (TMWTGG) over and over again trying to find a scene with a great look at the dial of his 1680 to see if I can manage to identify the red „Submariner“ lettering ... unfortunately without any success.

Is this the same one? Looks like it has less bezel here.

That's it. The bezel is fairly thin (and varied by model a bit).

Yeah it's weirdly hard to make out in that shot, I guess it's the lighting.

I love how Roger seemed to take to that blue outfit: when you look at the behind the scenes pics he seems to be wearing bits of it on several occasions- must be one of those costumes he decided to nab for himself! ajb007/smile

That's a mighty fine watch. I took a quick look at Chrono24 and it seems a lot of you have been doing the same based on quickly became unavailable.  ajb007/lol

That's the Tissot PR516.
It is a light effect i guess.
The bezel is in bakelite and is quite narrow.
Prices have gone up.
It is still a good investment  ajb007/martini
