I've received the Graham Jacket in Olive so can compare it to the Blue. One or both will have to go back. The Olive is £31 cheaper and I'm thinking the colour might be a bit more versatile with blue jeans etc.

I don't know if it's you or the jacket, but I prefer the olive here.

I'm inclined to agree. The blue looks a bit anorak(y) in comparison as I think the wax suits the olive colour better.

It might be an illusion as well but I also prefer the look of the collar on the olive.

start a new thread and post pics would be a good start.

I think what Bond Ambitions was suggesting was also to move the discussion of the Yellowstone jacket out of the NTTD wardrobe thread since, if anything, it harkens back to Spectre.

My apologies. You're one of the responsible ones here so I should have checked first.

I've now got three from the Barbour Engineered Garments Collaboration. Only one can stay and everyone I've asked has said the Olive Graham is the best. I'm not welded to SA colours so I think that will be the winner.

    I do so like the blue, but I agree with you and think you’ll probably get more use out of the olive green -{

I think the Olive Graham is the best too. No slight against the navy. Us Bond fans love our Navy colored items. It is good to have a Bond related item without it having to be an SA one. Good choice!

Thanks and yes I totally agree. I got the RGT jacket in grey because I preferred the colour over the SA one. I love that the Bond journey introduces me to brands I would never have heard of.

You’re welcome. Same with me. I’d likely never heard of Sunspel, Orlebar Brown, etc. I only own 2 SA things. It isn’t necessary. I use Bond for inspiration not to match him exactly. I love that RGT in grey too.

  • Well... Connolly got back to me. They even changed the photos on their website. Here's their response:

Thank you for your email and I am so pleased that you are enjoying your Giubbino Jacket.

The buttons on the photo that you shared are not available on the jackets that we produced, the main reason for this is that they were not a good fit for the button hole and were a lot smaller than on the physical jacket. My apologies, the images have now been updated to represent a more accurate representation of the buttons on the Giubbino Jacket.

Please let me know if there is anything further I can assist you with.

    Kind regards,

    Scarlett Marshall

Nope, there’s a black and white image someone posted that shows the tie has a pebbled solid texture, not herringbone.

Edit: It’s this image, only someone posted it without the text and such.

I wonder how they didn't realize there was an issue with the buttons before posting the photos? Did they advise on when we will receive our hanger, garment bag and extra buttons?

I received my Giubbino jacket a few days ago. Garment bag included but no hangar.
here's what the bag looks like if you're curious, nothing speceial.

I think the black buttons look good. They're not entirely black, some brown and cream marbled through. I agree the SA buttons would be nice to have and do look better but I don't feel strongly.
All in all my experience with Connolly was good. I'm really happy with the jacket, its a beautiful piece I can't wait to wear. Customer service was very good (for me).

nothing special? this bag looks awesome I want that thing too haha but I haven't received a reply yet : ( I will order the Filamore-Shirt for sure and will ask if they can add the bag to it when shipping. Do you we know who they will manage the re-release of that shirt? with a pre-reservationlist again?
I'm still not a huge fan of the dark buttons, I wanted to ask Connolly where they get the buttons from, I would buy them separately

Have we confirmed which Tom Ford ties are actually in the film yet?

Bond_Ambitions - Looks great! Did you contact Connolly to request they followed up on sending out the garment bag and spare buttons? Or have they finally just got round to sending them to those who previously bought the jacket?
  • Bond_AmbitionsBond_Ambitions Melbourne, AustraliaPosts: 459MI6 Agent
I only ordered mine 2 weeks ago, the garment bag just came with the jacket. I never emailed them about it and wasn't really expecting it TBH.

No idea regarding the filamore shirt. its certainly the look I prefer with the duster coat rather than the henley.

I’m far from an expert on these things but the cutaway on the collar of the Connolly shirt doesn’t look the same to me.

If anything, the collar on the shirt Bond is wearing looks to me like it might even be a button-down.
