What’s the point of a thread going on and on to show an expression of interest when there has never been any indication in the first place that they would be willing to do a reissue! I could express an interest in shagging Margot Robbie but that does not in any way increase the chances of it ever happening!

The point of the thread is to show how much interest there is in this jacket and for timiblade to then express that to whoever he is talking to at the company. It is a long shot, but approaching them with proof that 100 or so people are definitely interested in one of these looks far more favourable than just saying that there are probably some people who would be interested in this if it got remade. So no need for the negativity.
But it would be nice to have an update from timiblade, see if he's gotten any further with the people he said he was talking to at the companies a while ago.
Here's the main reason: Y-3 adidas is a collaboration between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto. Adidas couldn't reissue this jacket if they wanted to. Yohji is heavily involved in the Y-3 designs, they are his designs, and adidas produces the finished product. Talking to adidas is a moot point. You would have to talk to Yohji Yamamoto first, and he doesn't exactly strike me as much of a James Bond fan. You would probably get about as far as they got corresponding with the Neil Barrett marketing team about reissuing the poster trousers from Spectre, which if memory serves, the customer service department simply replied: "No."

Depending upon the quality i may want more than one and if it helps get the numbers up to increase the likelihood of it happening then its something i am willing to do....obviously this is for the sake of other members on here to try and get this project happening ) -{
I want to definitely be on the Y-3 list, whether it is an original remake or the Royale one. I have been scouring the internet for one, a good one, and coming up on the short end.
I’ll add a 2nd if it gets us to the 100 that might at least start a convo. Saw a similar y3 on sale in Copenhagen yesterday but not the real thing sadly.

If that’s the case then this has been a massive waste of people’s time. What an absolute joke. To be honest unless there had been some kind of positive response from the company in the first place this thread should never have been started. I agree at least the TF polo thread is legit and has some legs. They have done successful projects. I would suggest that exploring projects in future should not be given the light of day unless things are done along similar lines as the TF projects I.e someone has a decent contact and there is a more than 50/50chance it could happen.

I agree with JTM and NOI here. It isn't a waste of time to say that we are interested in something that may not happen. If that is a waste of time then this whole site is a waste of time and I don't think any of us agree that this site is a waste of time. You never know what could, or might not be, accomplished until you try. If there is no Y-3 rerelease I won't lose sleep.
I also agree that perhaps we should start a thread for a Royale remake to encourage Dan to do it. While I think most of us would love a SA Y-3 I'd venture to guess that we all would also love to help support one of ours in their endeavor to have a thriving business that is built for us in the anyhow. Shall I start the thread?
