Great review, Blair! Any chance you could post close up pics of the SA buttons?

Happy hunting! If you need any more, just let me know.

it seems that the sa buttons are not branded with the connolly logo or am I wrong? it would be an easier decision for me to replace the darker ones if I knew that the sa ones are not-branded too

hmm I have subscribed your channel but didn't get any alert that you uploaded a new video...anyway great content!

Blair, your videos have not disappointed. The one on the Connolly is no different. Well done.

Question to everyone that ordered the Connolly Giubbino from the initial run.....have you received your hanger, buttons and garment bag yet. I emailed Fatos at Connolly 3 weeks ago and i haven't heard a thing from them and honestly it's very disappointing especially when people who are ordering the jacket now are receiving the full kit! I'm probably going to email Max this evening and try and get an update on when i'll receive my stuff.

No, and I don’t expect to.

No, never received the other gear mentioned and also got zero response from them around a month or so ago despite several attempts. Not going to bother following up again! I feel ripped off by the experience as they justified the hike in price by saying that we would receive a duster bag and extra buttons as part of the price! Not to mention not getting the SA buttons which couldn't be anymore different from Blair's pictures above!

The buttons were just spares of the wrong ones correct?

    Hello all,
I am new to this site and to the Bond Lifestyle/Experience/Style community. In fact, this is my very first post in any Bond forum. I recently retired from the Navy and I'm very excited to see Craig in his Service Dress Blues in NTTD. I also hope there will be a general naval feel to the film in general. I like the blue wooly jumper he wears in some of the publicity shots. It is very much like a Royal Navy sweater except for the high fashion draw cords at the neck. Which, I suppose, is what makes it Bond-ish.

Please say hello and send me PMs with other sites I should join. I have found Bond Vivant (excellent work, Blair), The Bond Lifestyle (I really enjoy your videos, David), also JamesBondLifeStyle.com, and UniversalExports.net.

So many things I want to get... but I will have to pace myself.
    Thanks,
    Michael

Yes I received mine a few weeks ago. Yes the buttons are spares of the wrong ones. The hanger is just a plain plastic hanger but the garment bag is pretty nice.

Welcome to the forum, Michael, and thanks for your service to your country (and for the nod to my new channel! I hope you approve of my next video where I parachute in a woolly pully...)

There are so many sites to recommend- The Suits of James Bond with the inimitable Matt Spaiser, John’s iconicalternatives, Pete Brooker’s From Tailors with Love. The list is long and distinguished!

Anyway, half the fun is in the hunting!

    Stay safe,

    Blair

Slightly diverging from the Connolly subject... Here's another piece ID!
This time is the pink blouse Moneypenny wears throughout the London scenes (MI6 and Q's apartment, apart from Prince Charles' visit at Pinewood). It's the Petar Petrov 'Blair' Tie-Front Silk Crepe De Chine Blouse.
Originally available from the fall/winter 2018 collection the blouse retailed at 800€ (as always not a cheap item! :D) and it's now obviously sold out everywhere except at MyTheresa that offers a FR 38/IT 42 for 560€ (here's the link: https://www.mytheresa.com/en-it/petar-petrov-blair-silk-blouse-1119578.html)
UPDATE: the last size is already not available anymore!

The blouse is described as "Petar Petrov's 'Blair' blouse is cut from a lightweight silk crepe de chine and has a slightly oversized fit with fluted full-length sleeves. The tie-fastening sash gives it an elegant feel — drape it as you would a scarf or wear it neatly knotted into a pussy bow."

Note the particular fastening of the oversized cuff, a single black button

It’s canvas with polished metal trims on the corners. I can post some pictures later.

These photos of a new (insanely beautiful) DB5 kids' car are fun because they have a model wearing Craig's Matera costume from NTTD! Including the watch as far as I can make out :)

The link didn't bring up the blouse, it did go to the seller's webpage, already gone?

A little update on my Connolly journey.....

I received a follow up email from Ivan advising me that Maximos is no longer with the company (Max said he was furloughed so i can't be 100% sure) and that they will ship my bag/hanger/buttons next Tuesday. He advised that going forward we are to direct all inquiries to Stefanie Sneddon and her email is sos@connollyengland.com

Hopefully this helps everyone who is still waiting!

I will echo Blair's comment also and thank you for your service at home and overseas, it really is appreciated!
I hope you enjoy your journey in getting to know the whole Bond lifestyle and experience. It really is a wonderful world to explore, but also be warned, quite addictive and harmful to your bank balance! :D :007)
