Re: Last film seen...

Just watched a little movie called 'Office Space'. If your down about work watch this. It's a good laugh.

Some people would complain even if you hang them with a new rope

Re: Last film seen...

Finally got to see The Bourne Supremacy today. A good film - I'd like to see the Bond films head back towards this type of film.

Musa -- the Korean cut.

It's a really good one, though perhaps not the best in it's genre(s). I particularly disliked the drawn-out melodramatic death scenes at the end. On the whole, though, the film had a good epic feel to it. Well acted, and not too crazy martial arts scenes.

I've seen a lot of Asian movies lately, and now there's an African film festival coming up in my vicinity. Not much time for Hollywood formulas, but one or two Bogart or Harryhausen movies do find their way into my DVD  player occasionally.

Re: Last film seen...

Two films I saw a few weeks ago;

"Alien Vs Predator" - the film I have been waiting for since sometime last year. Not quite how I expected it would be, and though some parts annoy me, the film was generally enjoying to watch. Recommended.

"I, Robot" - Didn't look very good at all, but I was proved wrong when I saw it. Very good, though I agree with Sir Miles that it is not a film that could be watched more than a few times in a month. Will Smith is great. It takes a while to get going but a good effort.

Indie Film, Welcome to the dollhouse.
Wasnt bad , but bad plot.

Re: Last film seen...

Shaun Of The Dead, a British comedy horror about zombies taking over a leafy, corner-shop part of London.

Actually very enjoyable, despite not being a fan of star Simon Pegg's Spaced (tho most people are, I grant you). Surprisingly involving as it went on, marred only by a silly, comic coda or finale tacked on the end that trashed the movie that preceded it.

"This is where we leave you Mr Bond."

Re: Last film seen...

Watched 5 Dolls For an August Moon the other night. Considered by Mario Bava himself to be his worst film. I disagree however, it's a lounge music Euro Horror version of Agatha Christie's Ten Little Indians - very cool little whodunit.

Completely agree NP ... well, I actually quite liked the coda ajb007/wink

I was surprised quite how much I laughed despite my lack of comprehension of Spaced ...

Re: Last film seen...

Dr. Strangelove, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb is still one of my all time favorite films.  There's not a weak performance in it, though extra kudos to Peter Sellers for running around in three different roles.  And I don't know how Sterling Hayden managed to keep a straight face talking about "purity of essence" so much.  Stanley Kubrick was a genius to find such black humor in nuclear warfare.  Bond set designer Ken Adam also made the famous War Room.  Absolutely brilliant.

Flattery will get you nowhere, but don't stop trying.

Funny as it may seem, the last film I saw was actually a 007 film; A View To A Kill. :S

Re: Last film seen...

I just watched Taking Lives on DVD starring Angelina Jolie, Ethan Hawke, and Kieffer Sutherland. An interesting thriller that is almost in the mold of Seven, but with Jolie as an FBI agent. Hot on the tracks of a serial killer -this film is full of the usual cliches -but I still enjoyed it -and as a bonus you get to see Jolie's breasts! ajb007/wink The twist at the end is good though. ajb007/smile

Re: Last film seen...

Die Hard starring Bruce Willis was the last film I saw.

I've seen it many times, and it's one of my favorites. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good action movie.

Alan Rickman is superb as the villain.

Re: Last film seen...

Last night I watched Dr No. Its been a bit since I watched a Bond flick, might as well start from where it began.

Re: Last film seen...

I saw the original Ocean's Eleven. Sadly I saw the 2001 version 1st.Great classic flick. The only thing better about the 2nd movie is the newer hotels, and the planning involved for robbing the casinos. Much better than Dean Martin wearing a bandana sand simply saying "stick em' up!" But I really enjoyed the original version.

Re: Last film seen...

I finally saw the two Kill Bill movies last week. They were unbelievable. I put the first one in at ten o clock figuring to watch the second one on the next day, but I ended popping in number two. That shows how much I was addicted to it.

Re: Last film seen...

I recently started collecting the old 80's Ninja  movies on DVD . American Ninja was the flick I chose , Michael Dudkioff. Not bad, decent plot. Unlike the usual "defending the honor of my temple " or "revenging my master's death"

I saw Arlington Road, which was overdramatized.
