If a topic needs removing...

My apologies - this will now be the third shape this thread has taken, but that is quite appropriate for my question.

If a thread needs removing (I posted one here, but discovered one already existed), is there a procedure, or should I just edit it with a request for it to be removed?

And with that - this needs moving to the help/suggestions forum :)

Thank you for the idea, NP!

(There's a first - I'm responding to the next post! This is a bizzare thread...)

First off, this really should be in the Site Help forum, so I'm moving it.

Really, Expectant One, if you do inadvertently post a duplicate topic, you can either PM a moderator or do as you suggest--leave a note saying you double-posted and asking it to be removed. We're usually more than happy to comply!

Also this is half the point of the report feature (a small label tagged on each post). It is primarily for reporting abuse etc etc but you can also use it to report wrongly posted topics and posts.
