How Many Times Have You Seen CR in the Theater?

Just curious (apologies if this has been covered already):

1. How many times have you seen CR in the theater?

2. What's your goal on theater viewings?

I'm at a wimpy two, but that's highly unusual for me. The last time I watch a movie twice in the theater was the LOTR films. But before that, I can't recall.

Just wondering who has the record here... {[]

...Amazingly, only twice so far, :o :# ---on Opening Day and again, the very next day...and I've not been able to wrangle another visit to the cinema---though I will, at least two more times :v

I have seen Casino Royale twice. It's highly unusual for me to see any film at the cinema more than once. I don't anticipate a third viewing, but stranger things have happened.

Just twice, which is the same number of times I saw all of the Brosnan films.

The most I've ever watched a film was last year, when I saw Revenge of the Sith four times.

Twice, but I'm chompin' at a third time, which amazingly would be a record for me...

Twice so far. I've never seen a Bond film in the theater more than that, but I may just go a third time for this one. Part of the reason is so that I can see it with different people. But the other reason is that this one simply is that good. I'm old enough that I could have seen all of the Roger Moore films and those after in first run, though my first actual theater experience with Bond was "For Your Eyes Only." Not a bad choice for an adult, but as a kid, I wasn't terribly impressed. Years later, it would grow on me.

Starting with "The Living Daylights," I did see all of the Bond films twice in the theater . . . even the less than spectacular "Die Another Day." But with the advent of home video, there wasn't much reason to do more viewings until now.

I've seen it twice. Once with Friends, and once with family. I plan to see it a couple more times. I was even going to go tonight, but I decided not to.

I've seem it 3 times. That's enough for me, unless one of my friends wants to see it again.

Ok - I've currently seen the film 5 times (I've already seen this film more times than I have watched DAD and that includes DVD viewings), it would be more but time just doesn't allow it. I'll go again this Monday and again on Friday, probably again before Christmas and certainly in the New Year ;)

    1. My goal is to see it 5 times.

    2. So far, I've seen it four times.

Unfortunately, I have run out of people to go see the movie with so I'll just have to go see it by myself. In fact, I love this movie so much it will be the first time I have seen a movie in a theatre by myself.:p

So is Sir Miles the lead theater viewer at 5 times? :o

Can anyone beat that score? :007)

twice for me, but I'd like to do at least one more before the dvd.

I have seen it three times in theatres, which is extremely rare for me. The only other film in the last 3 years that I went to see three times was Batman Begins (another reboot of a beloved franchise, and another reboot that was miles better than the last few offerings). The last time I saw a film in theatres more than three times was way back when they released the Special Edition of Empire Strikes Back in theatres, and that is my second favourite film of all time.

It was the first film I have ever been to see alone and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I love my other half dearly, who has already been to see it with me twice, but I found that I could really get engrossed in the film without having to pinch the popcorn (I had nachos :p ) or keep asking if she was ok etc.

I would highly recommend seeing it again and again whether accompanied or alone :)

    Definitely!

The two times I saw it was alone. The first time the wife was sick so she had me go alone. The second time she got called into work unexpectedly, so off I went.

Both times I prepped for the movie by playing Texas Hold 'em on my cell phone. :D

The good news is that it opens a possible third viewing... :007)

I dressed up in a suit with my wife to see it opening night. We then saw it again the day after Thanksgiving. I plan on a third viewing Wednesday with a friend's Sam Eagle-like father. It should be very interesting.

I have seen it twice so far. Once on opening day and the second time last Saturday. I don't plan on seeing it again because I don't want to ruin the experience for when I buy it on DVD!

Also, only twice so far, too much going on to see anything, but CR a third time is at the top of my list, hopefully this week...?

So what kind of things have you noticed, HH? I've only seen the film the one time...don't intend to see it again until it's on DVD. I will live vicariously through you guys.

I wish I could say "The meaning of life, Darenhat," or the next best thing, "the answer to all CR plot questions," but I'm afraid it's nothing quite that dramatic :))

One thing that did occur to me that hadn't before was the kidnapping. I had thought it was staged to draw Bond away from the casino. But perhaps it wasn't. Maybe LeChiffre thought Vesper had double-crossed him and OK'd the money to get him back in the game, not knowing it was in fact Leiter who provided the stake. It will be interesting in Bond 22 to see how all the different threads come together. Was Vesper working for LeChiffre, Mr. White or both? How and when did she become involved with each? What were in the suitcases (the one that floated away when the house sank and the one carried by Mr. White)?

I also noticed that the familiar refrain of the Bond theme was quoted at several points in the soundtrack

Good point, something I hadn't thought of.

And does Vesper actually fall for Bond or is she just acting the part so she can get the money ?

Up to six viewings now ;%

I've been trying to figure out the implications of my kidnapping theory. I may have to go a 5th time this weekend to try and sort it out. It's supposed to rain here anyway.
