Casino Royale

In the novel, the second or third paragraph Ian Fleming writes the letter that M gets from head of S. The overall meaning is necessary for the story because it shows what they will try to do to handle Le Chiffre, but are the french phrases and words really necessary with no translations? When reading this chapter i skipped over the french phrases, because well, i cant speak or read french :p

Luckily for me, the translation i've read had all the French lines with a citation and the translation to Spanish in the end of the page... i would recommend you to go a translator website and translate the lines...

I feel the meaning comes pretty clear through the letter, and if not by the end it definately is. The french phrases just add a sort of mystique feeling to it and in my opinion add to the overall "frenchness" of CR, from the locations to the characters and the dialogue aswell.
