The best chase scene in Casino Royal

I think that the best chase scene in CS is at the beginning of the movie, when James is chasing the one bomb maker. did you guys know that this style of running is actually invented by that guy. the main point of that running is to get from point A to point B as fast as you can go. weather that is jumping off buildings, running through occupied homes, whatever. it is pretty ausome! you should try it sometime. I did it and it was a blast!

It is called Parkour. Yeah, it is pretty awesome.

The chase at the beginning was very well done. I would have preferred if they made the airport chase shorter or eliminated it.

The chase when Vesper is kidnapped should have been longer, the Aston Martin crash was great - but needed more of a build-up.

It's not just getting from A to B as fast as possible. It's about doing it smoothly and making all the moves work together. It is based on parkour developed by David Belle. I really appreciate the skill of the sport and have to say it is one of my favourite scenes in a bond film.

I like the chase scene in Venice best and I agree what's been said that it should have been longer. Has there ever been a long foot chase done there?

As much as I like the Madagascar chase scene, I felt the key action points, like the jumping, climbing, traversing from the various points A to B, were too "convenient." At first, MI and Bourne Identity came to mind, but the contrived movement in this CR chase reminded more of the action in the MI films, most notably part 2, John Woo's installment...but at the end of the day, it is a replay worthy Bond action sequence.

Drywall or Gypsum Board is not as hard as it seems; as a teen, I headbutted a hole into our kitchen wall, which my dad forced me to fix all by myself!

Indeed it's only just a step up from cardboard. We had temporary classrooms at school and you could easy put your fist through the wall.

I loved that chase scene at the beginning. I've watched it at least 10 times. I think it was the best scene in the movie! I think the next best scene of the movie was the torture scene where he laughs through the entire ordeal, then the bad guy gets offed for not being loyal.

i second the idea that the Parkour scene was a great chase.. but how many chases does CR have?

1. Parkour, everybody's talking, no need to say anything else.
2. Embassy scene, not a chase rather than a escape, and would be the same, but yes, it shows Bond being tough
3. Ford mondeo commercial... does it look like a chase?
4. Miami Airport, it has a chase on foot, on car, hanging by the side of a truck... is longer and in some point more exiting than the one in Madagascar.
5. The Aston Martin, is a shame to call it a chase, it should be longer and exiting.
6. Venice, on foot, and with the plus of the betrayal, i think it was well done, not so spectacular but more like a follow up that becomes a shoot out.

so.. that's pretty much it... two good chases, one not so action packaged and other almost inexistent.

A fist, certainly, if you were lucky enough to avoid a wall stud -- but a whole body is likely to encounter a 2-by-6 before it reaches the other side. That might smart a bit.

But so what? It's a movie. The strict laws of physics and probability can always be observed at home.

I loved the Parkour sequence. Really a stunner. Foucan is an amazing athlete.

That Scene was Phat and really skillful.I pertically liked the bit where the guy jumped into the elevator shaft bonced of the wall and out into the corridor.

I agree that the free running chase scene in the beginning of the movie was definitely the best in the movie, though the airport one was pretty compelling as well. I must say as a side note, I think that this was probably the movie with the most running I've ever seen that wasn't a sports movie.

Well, I suppose 'Don't Look Now' counts; in which our hero chases a girl dressed in red through the streets of Venice... hang on..
