Topic: HOW MANY TIMES DID YOU SEE CASINO ROYALE?

Just for fun.....how many times did you see CR before you lost count?

I went to the UK premier in Leicester Square, just to celeb spot!  Couldn't see anyone because of the tall fences they put up.

I then saw it at my local cinema on the following day and the day after then again at the weekend.  Took a mate from work the second week.  That was four times, all at the cinema.

Managed to acquire a priate copy the following week which stayed on permanently after that, when I clearly lost count!

So, to summarise I saw CR four times initially.

Three times in the theatre.

One nearly worn out DVD and working on wearing out a Blu-ray disc!

Re: HOW MANY TIMES DID YOU SEE CASINO ROYALE?

Four times in the cinema (a new record)...then six times subsequently on DVD...

But that's only complete viewings.  Impossible to count how many times I've watched the first ten minutes, or a scene here or there...  ajb007/embarrassed

What skills of observation! This exchange never fails to bring a chuckle. It's alot like the look on Bond's face when Vesper says "I suppose you've given some thought to the notion that if you loose, our goverment will have directly financed terrorism." That too - for me at least is priceless.

Those may be two of the Best exchanges in the film!!!

Re: HOW MANY TIMES DID YOU SEE CASINO ROYALE?

3 times in the theaters followed by daily when I got the DVD for at least 2 weeks, plus snippets here and there. Currently at least one a month.

Re: HOW MANY TIMES DID YOU SEE CASINO ROYALE?

007 Times in the Cinema and so far 10 on DVD....

Re: HOW MANY TIMES DID YOU SEE CASINO ROYALE?

once in the cinema but I can't remember how many times on DVD, probably at least 10 if not 15.

The dinner scene after winning the money is my fav, I get goosebumps each time I watch it, and I genrally always make myself a vesper as well! ajb007/martini

I saw about 30 minutes of a bootleg download before I lost interest. True story.

For me, it felt about as official as NSNA, and don't get me going on the reboot issue again...

Bride Of Barbel pointed out to me, "You can tell he's meant to be Swiss- he speaks French in one scene and German later!" ajb007/lol

On-topic- 3 times in the cinema (Son Of Barbel fell asleep the second time at a midnight screening!) and at least six on DVD.

Forgive me if this has been pointed out before, but there are definite differences between the theatrical and DVD versions. For one, during the torture scene Le Chiffre slings his knotted rope over Bond's shoulder after commenting on how Bond has kept his body in shape. "What a waste" is the line. This doesn't happen in the UK DVD. I'm fairly sure some of the stairwell fight has been altered as well.

Re: HOW MANY TIMES DID YOU SEE CASINO ROYALE?

I saw CR four times on the big screen and 5-10 times on DVD. This may come as a surprise to you knowing my stance on Craig, the reboot, etc.

I guess my logic is this: If I watch CR enough times, I'll eventually find something to like about it. ajb007/shifty ajb007/tongue

I don't doubt what you're saying, Barbel, but I'm wondering why anyone would want to alter that stuff for the UK DVD?

Re: HOW MANY TIMES DID YOU SEE CASINO ROYALE?

Probably a censorship thing.

You're right, Barbel.

It's a pity about the UK truncated stairwell fight because, seen in it's entirety, it's rather fine ajb007/biggrin

Re: HOW MANY TIMES DID YOU SEE CASINO ROYALE?

It is a shame that we don't get to see some scenes in their entirety -The Stairwell scene definitely being one -and I think there are other cuts also -which although minor do make a difference when you've seen the film a number of times. I too have watched CR countless times -and do still think it is an excellent addition to the 007 cannon. ajb007/bond

I've only seen CR twice. I'm not too fond of it. I prefer the oldies.

Same here. Second time was a freebie at the cinema. Wouldn't mind catching it on DVD again however.

I've seen CR twice at the cinemas. I own it on dvd, however I quite can't bring myself to watch it for a third time. I wonder why? ajb007/shifty ajb007/lol
