Re: Avatar Problems

Yes, the avatar system here on AJB is totally hopeless - I've given up trying to upload a picture. It was all so much easier to upload an avatar on CBn, MI6 Community and BaB forums.

Yeah 60X60 is really small but since this thread has been around forever I'm guessing they won't change it.

Also how do you know if a picture is owned by MGM or not?

If your image is taken from a screenshot of a film, trailer or advertisement, it's MGM owned.

Basically pretty much any image to do with bond, hence why hardly anyone uses a Bond image as their avatar.

Hopefully when SiCo returns to his rightful place as the Leader of AJB he will reform this very real problem of uploading avatars onto AJB forums. Fingers and toes double crossed on that one!  ajb007/martini

Re: Avatar Problems

Just had a quick read through this thread.
I think the key is to remember to 'save for web'. I set my first avatar at 60x60
and it wouldn't load. Went back to photoshop and clicked 'save for web' rather than just 'save' and it did the trick and it loaded fine.
I hope this helps.

Thanks, Chris. I may just try that little trick soon. I've always wanted an avatar here on AJB as all of my other Bond forums allow the easy upload of ones.

I'm sorry you are disappointed with how AJB is run in his absence....I did ask you for your comments several months ago, which you promised...but I'm still waiting    ajb007/wink

Sir Miles - you know better than anyone I respect you 100% as a great, down-to-earth and easy-going moderator here on AJB. I'll give you my comments soon. I've totally forgotten about that past commitment of mine. I only meant that SiCo could reform this as the site owner/administrator. No criticism of your excellent moderaton was thereby intended. No moderators were hurt in the making of this post.  ajb007/cool

Re: Avatar Problems

I like it, although not so sure about that pink border.  I want a glittery ASP.  A glittery ASP that rotates. A glittery ASP that rotates and reflects the light at one point.  With dancing hippo's.

Re: Avatar Problems

Yes, the pink border's not quite me, but I think it works as a whole. Quite Bondian in a way, plus skulls are very "in" at the moment! You see skulls everywhere - on girl's scarves, t-shirts, jumpers, rings, tattoos, schoolbags etc. etc. etc.

I have to keep with with all the latest trends here on AJB, you know!  ajb007/lol
