What you mean like a quick add of product to his beard, a moisturise then a look to the camera and a pouty "....because I'm worth it....."

Hehe. I meant maybe show him at his vanity mirror in the hotel with a bunch of products on the counter and a specific shaver that he is actually using in hand. We all remember the Die Another Day placement of that shaver as Brosnan looks through the one-way mirror.

Looks a bit like the underground lair they had in Siena in QoS?

Re: Photos of Bond from the set...

I'm hoping this is the villain's lair. Perhaps we might go back to the traditional Bond days were the villain opperates from a main lair and then we get the raid at the end of the film? Could this be the underground villains lair that has a location somewhere in Scotland? TBH, who can tell from something so ambigious as that photo!?

I don't intend to go on about this negatively, I'll be a stuck record, but it's not so much the stubble as the white stubble. Hey! I have it myself but it really don't look good, I mean did Harrison Ford have white stubble as Indy? Not even in Chrystal Skulls, if I recall.

But of course, it's gonna get easy to piece together things from these pics, rightly or wrongly, so

Spoiler Craig is undercover as some homeless down and out in early scenes in the film. Nah, not being facetious, that's how it looks.

Yeh, point taken, but it's better than a bad die job.... I mean at least we know he isn't vain enough to have to die his beard... ajb007/amazed (We never want to repeat the awful rug that was on Connery for NSN)

I'm more worried about the trousers.... I mean they are 3" too short... and with the chukka boot... not such a great look. Bring back the white/cream jeans ajb007/wink

(although perhaps we don't see the trousers in the scene, but still.... DC - you need a longer inside leg!*)

*no pun intended ajb007/lol

Lexi I thought Connery's hair piece in NSN was a work of art compared to the AWFUL one he had in Thunderball LOL If TB was not such a great movie THAT bowl shaped helmet he  had on would have ruined the entire film for me.    ajb007/lol    ajb007/lol    ajb007/lol

Saw the picture earlier on Facebook. . .it could be anything or nothing.  Well, the pic served its purpose: to get people talking and speculating.

With many cancelled locations, Mabey they should do the old TV trick of filming everything round the film studio. As in the Man From UNCLE etc.  ajb007/tongue It would certainly bring back that 60's Vibe.  ajb007/shifty

My idea is this is a temporary location for MI6. If the small synopsis of the movie is true that MI6 is attacked, maybe MI6 goes "underground" until a new Headquarters is built. This photo and the earlier photo from the beginning of the shoot are similar. This is either a) the Villains lair or b) a temporary MI6

Some people would complain even if you hang them with a new rope

Re: Photos of Bond from the set...

It seems I am lucky in the fact that I don't try to piece together the film before I see it.  Film making is a lot like sausage. It is better to wait for the finished product as opposed to watching it get made  ajb007/lol     ajb007/lol     ajb007/lol

Finally first pictures of Bond wearing Tom Ford. He still has a beard ajb007/biggrin

Too depressed to even comment...

Re: Photos of Bond from the set...

Here is a thought on the beard with some gray stuble. Since Bond lives in a altered universe, maybe the beard w some gray in it is meant to represent the fact THAT he is now a seasoned/classic Bond with many missions behind him.

Re: Photos of Bond from the set...

That's also what I've thought. Maybe he's got some "sir" before his name now, who knows ;D

Re: Photos of Bond from the set...

Like the original Casino Royale - David Niven as "Sir" James Bond :-)

The name's Bond_James_Bond

But not THAT depressed as you made a remark  ajb007/wink

Why people have to be SO negative over a couple of stills is beyond comprehension...it may be better for you to lie down in a darkend room until the film comes out.

Hear hear!  We have zero context and no clue what role Craig's appearance has to do with the film.  As far as we know the movie begins with Bond being picked up while on a week-long fishing trip and in the next scene he's clean-shaved.  Total screen time: ten seconds.  Pick your targets.

Agreed. We have no freakin' clue if the movie is being strung together amazingly or horribly. It is ridiculous to be disappointed over something you know almost no context of.

Thirded. (Edit: Fourthed, just read Mr Beech's comment).

I learned my lesson from Casino Royale.  I was deeply, deeply, deeply skeptical but I still attended the premiere of a film that unexpectedly blew me away. And then I was ultra excited about Quantum of Solace and was left slightly underwhelmed.  We don't know what's coming until we go and see it.  And that's what we'll be doing, right?  As Bond fans, we'll be going to see it?  I know I certainly will.  I'll part with my money and I'll either leave exhilarated, mildly satisfied or disappointed.  But the latter will certainly not kill my excitement for Bond 24.  You can't please all of the people all of the time, but the people shouldn't judge on all of two dozen initial pictures from set.

And another +1 for Sir Miles. One can either write off Skyfall based on a few piccies, or simply await the end result.

Re: Photos of Bond from the set...

At the end of the day we have a shoot taking part in London in the winter OUTDOORS - hardly glamourous Bond is it? What are people expecting, bulging biceps in a polo shirt?

This scene will probably be about the same length as the scene we saw the last time Bond was in London!!  ajb007/lol

What irks me the most is that we can't see what bloody watch he is wearing  ajb007/martini
