Topic: How to find latest unread posts? How to find same in just my topics?

I use many different forum software, so I'm a little at sea here trying to find common features.

  • First one: how to find only the topics I've participated in &/or subscribed to? Most sites have these listed on your Control Panel (CP) or List Subscriptions (LP) page..

  • Second: How to jump to the first unread post (for me) in that topic?

TIA,

David

Hello David,

as for your first question, it's not possible to subscribe to topics, where you have been posting/reading

as for your second question, if you are logged in, you should see "new posts" in all sections and topics.
If you are not logged in, that function is not active.

Hope that you enjoy your stay on AJB  ajb007/martini

The way you can see your posts is on your profile.

At the top of the page, you'll see 'Profile', click on that and you'll see your profile page where you'll see your recent posts, but there's also the options to see all topics you started, or all your posts on a separate page, listed in chronological order.

Hope this helps

Re: How to find latest unread posts? How to find same in just my topics?

I'd like to know how you can find older topics, beyond 2006, as there are some classics out there. I'm especially interested in the Literary James Bond specialist sub-forum (of course).  ajb007/smile

Are these older topics lost for good or can they be retrieved again?

Can anyone help me?

The Literary Bond subforums only go back as archived pages to 2006 - some 19 pages, but I want to find topics from c. 2002-2005, during which time I was an early contributor here.

Does anyone here know how to do this, at all?

I think this may help you sir:

Give some time for the page to load. Once loaded, up top you should see a bar graph. You can scroll back to 2002 if you like. Once you get to a date you like, click and the forum from that time will come up. You should be able to go through the topics and click on them.

Some people would complain even if you hang them with a new rope

Thank your, Mr Martini, I think this is the type of site I was looking for all along - thanks so much!  ajb007/smile
