I had a quick look on eBay and the players seem still very expensive.
Would anyone know, where they supposed to be better quality than
VHS ?
Think they were on par with early DVD Releases.
It was pre -DVD. The Disks were the same size as Vinyl Records and I beleave that they can go for rather high Prices now
I take it you snapped up those discs then, AOS?
They'd be worth buying, if only for a bit of wall decoration.
I would have, if I had some Money on me
I would have, if I had some Money on me
I know the feeling all too well, despite having work...
I like to think walking around without money, is what it's
Like to be Royalty.

Yes, they'd look really great beside these ducks:
And the " murial " as Hilda would have said.

I know who you mean (from Corrie) but a bit before my time I'm afraid, TP!
oh, well, er... It's obviously before my time too, I remember my Mum telling me.
And way before my Time
Watching GF last night and I only noticed now
That in the Q lab scene, as Q and Bond walk past
George Leech getting shot in the chest, Q flinches at
The first shot.
I wonder if that was deliberate, or a bit of a scare ?
You can see some deleted Scene in the GF Titles
You Only Live Twice :
One of the more escapist Bonds but with a fantastic Picture on Bluray, Nice and clear the sound also is
great, so you can really hear the fantastic J Barry score.
With The bonus features on the Blu-ray first appeared on the Ultimate Edition DVD. as always worth
a look.
OHMSS :
The picture quality is OK in many scenes , infact very good to be honest, but a few scenes look a bit Flat, I have read
that the disc appears to have had its brightness and contrast boosted electronically. which might account for it.
Sound is also very good, but the same thing at times, seems very Mono rather than Stereo ( If that makes any sense )
but still a very good conversion to Bluray.
Once again the extras are the same as the Ultimate Edition DVD. As OHMSS is my favourite I love watching. the Making
of/dehind the scenes stuff. always interesting.
What are the *must-have* blu rays TP?
I have TLD & LTK (both amazing IMO), and TND is coming... please recommend what I need next!
Wait for a holiday sale and splurge on the Bond 50 collection. Well worth it! Especially when I sneak into your house to put Moonraker in your Blu Ray player
YOLT is a beautiful transfer IMO. The space scenes look great, Japan looks more incredible than ever.
I enjoy the commentary on this film, though I prefer a in studio 'recorded live' format instead of a compilation of actors and crew sound bites about certain parts. It would have been great if they could have gotten Lewis Gilbert to do a commentary. With this transfer being released so recently, they will likely not have a new edition for a few years now.
Obviously, the ultimate dream is to have Connery commentaries like Moore did for all his films. Sadly, I highly doubt that would ever happen.

Then that shall be my nexsht one!
Thanks Moose!
Cheers
Enjoy. I may indulge in some YOLT this weekend too. Aki most underrated Bond girl!
I fully agree Moose, To have Connery doing a commentary would be heaven.
For Me, Chrisisall, I must have them all........... Even NSNA.
Hah, I was just in the middle of searching for NSNA on blu-ray because there was a time when every copy was selling for over $70 usd. Not sure why exactly, there are copies on Amazon now for 16, but the case doesn't say collector's edition so I am wondering if it has the extras.
The copy of NSNA that I have is the ordinary bluray and the extras
It has are ....
Features on a the a girls of NSNA
Sean is Back
The big gamble
Trailer
Commentary by Irvin Kersher and Steven jay Rubin.
If that's any help.
Ok great. This is very helpful! And your cover doesn't say Collector's Edition anywhere? Just want to make sure I don't have to double dip as I'm only trying to complete my collection.
Mine has no "Connery or Collectors edition" it has connery
in the corner ( in tux) holding gun with Kim in her swimsuit
standing behind, sideways on. Shame you can't get a list of extras
on it.
