I'm with you. I love Columbo, but Kojak is the man! I own every episode on DVD, and I have such fond memories of that show. Savalas's performance, plus the fact that it took place in New York, my hometown, makes it a sentimental favorite of mine. And there's the bonus that it stars the very best of the Blofelds!
I really must try to get into it more but it was repeated never on TV when I was younger whereas Columbo was so hence I love Columbo.
I love it.
so funny, with a fantastic cast.
Watching Kojak now, it's fun to spot the young stars
Before they became famous.
I thought that BL was more the ' 2 broke girls ' type
Is that the same as " two girls, one ...... "
Back in College, my Mate somehow managed to get hold of the ICT Engineers Password and Username. He then proceeded to place Two Girls one Cup in every single Video Folder of every single Acount used by all Students, Staff, etc..
Mayhem ensued
That of course, was not the end of his Shenanigans however
Evil genius !
The funny Thing is that he was really intelligent with ICT and Technology, but rather thick in a lot of other Subjects
Very common, some people can be very intelligent but have no
Common sense.
Sounds a bit like Columbo Goes to College.
Yes the two guys, thought they were too smart
For our favourite cop.

Nah! But those "Golden Girls"............hubba hubba!

Plus we get the return of the ever-brilliant Robert Culp as one of the student's fathers.
it's amazing how many actors made return trips in Columbo.
Just last week Columbo was getting his TV fixed by a guy who
Became his assistant in future episodes. then one assistant
Went the other way becoming a murderer in the episode about the
Death of a rock star. ( Dabney Coleman)

I just want to publicise this great Columbo website resource and fan forum:
http://www.columbo-site.freeuk.com
That looks a really interesting site.
That looks a really interesting site.
Indeed it is. The Fan Forum on the site is well worth a look. I used to contribute to it as 'Son Of A Gun'.
" A matter of honour" is on channel five with Ricardo Montalbán and
Licence to kill's Pedro Amendariz Jr, ( his Dad was Kermin Bey )
Columbo fans without a TV licence - you have been warned!

Watched A Stitch In Crime yesterday. Leonard Nimoy was brilliant as Dr Barry Mayfield, one of my favourite Columbo villains. Loved the bit where Mayfield laughs in Columbo's face after Columbo accuses him of killing one of the nurses he worked with ( which he did). In a rare display of anger, Columbo picks up a jug of water and slams it on Mayfield's desk and making him jump.
I agree, Nimoy was brilliant there!
Doesn't he drive that gorgeous Mercedes S there as well?
Whenever I am watching a Columbo episode, I have to think, that those really where a showcase for actors/actresses who could escape from their typecasting - and many did!
I also remember David Pleasence being a phantastic villain in "Any Port of a Storm"
