Paris Match interview with Monica Bellucci. Asked if she feels hurt to be the "oldest" of the Bond girls: "On the contrary! It proves that finally there is another way of looking at women and now a 50 year old is still desirable".

Re: Monica Bellucci

Monica Bellucci would make a great Fiona Volpe type villain. Correct me if I'm wrong, but has DC's Bond slept with a true unrepentant female villain yet? (I don't consider Vesper or Severine "villains"). For Connery's Bond it was like a hobby.

Telegraph article on two separate interviews. Monica Bellucci tells the Sunday Times Style magazine that she initially thought she was being asked to play M. For the Mail on Sunday's Event magazine she speaks in favour of older women entering into relationships with younger men.

Re: Monica Bellucci

It's good to see Bond having a relationship with someone close to his age, as I honestly think there is a stigma in the film industry against older actresses.  A 20-25 year age disparity just isn't believable - even for 007.

But seriously, Monica Bellucci is ridiculously attractive, as in hotter than 90% of the women age 20-30 anyway.

I've seen large age differences in couples I know (I'm talking over 30 years in one case) work out very well. I have no problem believing any of Bond's relationships, except the ones in A View to a Kill.

122

Re: Monica Bellucci

20-30 year disparity relationships are 90% malepowerfantasy or dude has lots of money and 10% true love.

123

Re: Monica Bellucci

It's sad that we're even discussing a 4-year age difference between a woman and a man when we routinely don't discuss multi-decade age differences between a man and a woman.

...and by 'we' I mean society, not AJB!

Is this your personal experience? I'm sorry if it is.

125

Re: Monica Bellucci

Not my experience.  I go for women my age.

There's nothing wrong with age-disparate relationships.  It's just that the film industry has done enough to promote a convention of that men should only value young women.  As much as I love Moore, after his first 3 films, I don't see model-quality women in their 20's (how many 40-50 year old models are there really?) throwing themselves upon him.
