Does anyone else think this seems a bit ridiculous?

Wouldn't Jesper Christensen have appeared at the press announcement today?

Don't you think Sam would've introduced him on the bill?

I'm seeing comicbook.com and Wikipedia as the only source of this news....

It seems like a huge claim....

    It may just be a rumor. Or he may just have a cameo. I can see a scene where he gets offed by Blofeld, more or less like the guy in Thunderball.

    I could see Mr. White finding out about SPECTRE and going to Blofeld to discuss business. Blofeld makes Mr. White an offer he can't refuse. White accepts the offer and goes to leave but crosses a trap door that is released. Then Mr. White falls into a pit of rabid Snow Tigers (these will replace Blofelds iconic white cat) and is mauled to death.

    It's not officially confirmed, but Jesper Christensen is quoted in a Danish article stating that he is looking forward to working with Sam Mendes and Daniel Craig. The producers possibly did not want Christensen at the announcement as his appearance would signal the return of Quantum, and they wanted to keep that a surprise. Maybe he wasn't supposed to have talked to the media?

    He should have been the villain in QoS. He was by far one of the best things about that movie despite how minor his inclusion was.

    I would love to see Quantum being linked somehow... it's a loose end that needs tidying up, imo.

    I'm also hoping that Denbigh has something to do with Guy Haynes... but this is probably not remembered by most...that was never really sorted out.

    Yes agree 100% - Haines was revealed as a Quantum member in the heart of the establishment, seems strange if this is not addressed, even if just a comment to suggest he was apprehended...

    We couldn't obtain the Snow Tigers, they're protected, but we managed to get some mutated Siamese cats. With laser beams.

    :)) I always wondered, if you placed an enemy in a tank covered in leeches.
    Could they drain all the blood from them ? Or could they have an internal
    Mechanism, to stop before death ( to keep their host alive) ?
    As I thought it would be cool in a dinner scene, The villain to have a failed
    Worker in a tank being drained of blood by leeches, as he entertained some
    Guests. Saying something like " It's fascinating to watch, some last as long as a week !

    I didn't really read anything yet about this rumor of Mr. White returning, besides countless people mentioning it. It's like the rumor that the movie was called SPECTRE. I have no clue where those people got that from, yet they seemed to be right..

    If he does return I woud really like an idea like this. I think killing someone related to Quantum (not necessarly to animals) could make the villian seem that much more powerful. To me, one of the things that made Franz Sanchez stand out was that he was actually feeding a well established character like Felix Leiter to the sharks. You get the "this guy means business" out of it. Quantum untill now seems like a very mysterious organisation. But they can make SPECTRE even more sinister by killing of someone Quantum related, like Mr. White.

    Here was my stab at how Mr. White could be incorporated into Bond 24/"SPECTRE" I posted back before we knew what we know now. You never know, even a broken clock is right twice a day. :))

    "Ok...here we go. During the time between QOS and Skyfall....utlilizing the intelligence collected by 007 in QOS; MI6, the CIA, Mossad, KGB, etc were able to systematically destroy Quantum. However, the tricky Mr. White (seeing the writing on the wall at the opera in QOS) was able to vanish, never to be found.

    However, Bond being Bond has continued to search for the vanished White. Bond gets a lead on White's wherabouts and tracks him down (I know, similar to DAF). When Bond gets to White, White informs Bond that he himself provided the clues and wanted Bond to find him. White then goes on to tell Bond, "I don't care if you kill me, I'm already dead" and then warns him of another organization that has risen out of the ashes of Quantum. An even more deadly and sinister organization, SPECTRE...led by the mysterious #1 aka Ernst Stavro Blofeld. White goes on to tell Bond that while Quantum wanted to control the world and reap the profits, SPECTRE wants to destroy it and is willing to commit any atrocity to do so and even he (White) has no stomach for that."
