Re: Man from UNCLE Collectable Thread and For Sale

@Westward_Drift: I'll let you know if it doesn't work out. The measurements are listed as 23" pit-to-pit and I may need a XL.

A warning to anyone getting this roll neck, they run small...I ordered a medium and this thing is like its painted on...if I eat an olive I am screwed!

I don't think I can pull this off, need a bit more age and ruggedness, but you sure as hell can. That blue turtleneck is very tempting though.

Looks like the perfect hunting outfit.

Re: Man from UNCLE Collectable Thread and For Sale

Grant, McQueen, have your respective jackets arrived?  What do you both think?

Re: Man from UNCLE Collectable Thread and For Sale

It arrived today (late) and I was surprised to find it lighter than I anticipated. With regards to the size, the large is fitted on my frame (43" chest), but still wearable, although I'd prefer an XL. I think I'll let it sit in the closet until the weather cools down and wear it a time or two to decide if I'll keep it or not.

I sadly had to sell my L as had same problem (guess we really are roughly same size By the sounds of it).

It was a tad too fitted for comfort - keep forgetting to hunt for XL.

We are pretty close in size and you've been a great resource in helping me decide sizing for various items  ajb007/martini

I looked on eBay frequently last year and then gave up. Once this thread was revived last week, I decided to check again and just happened to find the large. One thing I've learned being on this forum is that an item in your size will eventually turn up  ajb007/lol

Thanks for answering one question I had regarding the weight of the jacket. Always tough to tell how heavy or light a jacket is on film. How does if compare to the JV Spectre, if you have that?

My Banana Republic Die Hard 4 leather jacket is heavier than I had anticipated. Not quite "stand in a corner by itself" heavy, but it's laughable to think to wear it in New York or Washington DC in July, as John McClane did in Die Hard 4.

Re: Man from UNCLE Collectable Thread and For Sale

Hi Steve -  I've found mine to be light in weight too - the suede is of a pretty good quality, nice and soft and the medium fits well on me, not too loose but not skin tight. I'm suitably impressed - although I won't be wearing it this month - probably late September onward.

Re: Man from UNCLE Collectable Thread and For Sale

Im looking for the Ralph Lauren Suede jacket in size medium or possibly a large. Much preferably a medium though. Please PM if anyone has one for sale!

Re: Man from UNCLE Collectable Thread and For Sale

David, was there a specific John Smedley roll neck that was the right one?  They have a few indigo roll necks on their website...

Re: Man from UNCLE Collectable Thread and For Sale

I believe it's the 'Belvoir' model. As David mentioned, these do run small. I wear a Lrg. in the 'Bobby' but had to get an XL in this fit.

Norcha, could you please provide the dimensions, chest back shoulders and outer arms. I probably need a large, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Thanks. ajb007/cheers

Re: Man from UNCLE Collectable Thread and For Sale

No problem, please note that it's elastic around waist,so difficult to measure.
