Nice work on the best budget finds, also the amazon idea is a corker  ajb007/martini

Obviously not the screen accurate pair, but how about these as a budget alternative to the navy blue zip pocket shorts seen filming in Jamaica?

For £7 I ordered a pair and will whizz them round the sewing machine to shorten the leg length........I'll post pics when I've done them.

Those are great! I completely agree with you about just getting them shortened. People do it all the time with trousers. Shorts are even easier. Wish I saw your post before I published the Budget Finds post! They would have been perfect!

Chriscoop: thank you, sir! The Amazon store was a little weird. They actually invited me to create the store through one of the affiliate programs I use. I checked out the program and thought it was a good way to organize all the alternatives I see on Amazon and it could be useful for U.S. based readers. As I said, I do make a little money from each sale, but Amazon commissions are really low (like 2% to 3% depending on the product). So ain't no one getting rich off of it!  ajb007/lol

Sorry about the business talk, but I like to be as transparent as possible with everyone here about the website.

Cheers!

The just released Adidas Original Trimm Trab "Trimmy" is a good modern take on the Gazelle 2 as worn in Skyfall

Sadly almost sold out everywhere it seems. Looks like it was released just over a month ago on May 10 and only sizes 6-8 available at best on a couple sites.

Re: Budget Bond Collectors Resource

Not sure everyone would count these as 'budget' but compared to the Tom Ford screen accurate ones they definitely are and they are a known DC brand.

I found them to be much lighter in the flesh than on the website (perhaps not as light as the screen seen pair but hard to say and they seem to come out darker in photos) and I think work as an alternative to the TF light grey jeans seen in the first days of filming in Jamaica.  The first picture is of the actual jeans, the second is from the website for comparison.

This is an older post that I updated. But I really like the idea behind it. Since we focus so much energy on finding things, I thought it would be nice to take a break from that.

Those of you wanting the SA TF-jeans look, check out the Jack & Jones model Tim in grey.
I own a pair and they probably are as close as it gets:

Great post! Really nice to focus on experiences rather than just 'stuff' (which I know is also nice for us  ajb007/lol ) and particularly ones we can share with our significant others.

Keep up the great work  ajb007/martini

Re: Budget Bond Collectors Resource

Ok, two things to report here. There’s this website called drop.com which offers incredible deals on some items. I’ve used it for a ton of things and there are two Craig/Bond things available right now.

The first is the Danner mountain light II boots for $270 down from $380. This is the actual boot not just budget alternative. If there’s a better thread to share that on, please do. https://drop.com/buy/danner-mountain-li … 0738133981

The other is an alternative for Craig’s Moscot Petie sun from a company called Raen...which I’ve never heard of. Frames and everything, they’re a pretty close match.
https://drop.com/buy/raen-remmy-sunglas … eId=926324

I hope the links work.... i strongly recommend drop.com. I think I get $10 if I send you an email invite but I didn’t want this to sound like a sales pitch.

Let me know what you think of the glasses!

I think you have to be a member to see the price. The glasses are $80 down from 170.

Re: Budget Bond Collectors Resource

They used to be Mass Drop, right? I'm actually looking at a watch on there now.

3,017

Re: Budget Bond Collectors Resource

Yessir, massdrop became drop...I’ve gotten a lot of stuff from there including a watch. The seiko turtle srp777
This discount was ridiculous so I was a little leery at first but they’ve been awesome.
I would definitely pick up those sunglasses if I didn’t already buy Vuarnets and TF108’s this year!

New Post: The Bond espadrilles

https://www.iconicalternatives.com/2019 … padrilles/

I was going to do a post on all of Bond's summer shoes, like I did for the shirts and swim shorts. But there are some great espadrille alternatives out there. So I decided to do one post on those and then another post on the other styles.

Cheers!

Happy Sunday!

New post: I'm back at the watches. Starting with the Rolex

I nowhere near a watch export, so if any of you have suggestions for the 6538 or any of the others, I'd appreciate you sharing them!

Good post! I'd like to help you out with the eventual post for Casino Royale watches, i'm sure these have been mentioned before but I own and love them so here goes.

For the watch worn for the first half of the film, the Citizen Promaster Diver Bn0190-07E

https://embed.widencdn.net/img/citizenwatch/b2etmzrrcc/1000px/Promaster%20Diver.png?u=41zuoe

I bought mine from herehttps://www.ebay.com/itm/Citizen-Promas … SwOn1c7DbF and it arrived new with tags, the seller is trusted, and the price is better than anywhere else online I found. Hope this helps some of you get a good deal, it's now $10 lower than when I bought it

And for the watch worn in the later half of the film, The Citizen Promaster Diver BN0191-55L

https://embed.widencdn.net/img/citizenwatch/yph940eeal/1000px/Promaster%20Diver.png?u=41zuoe

The prices for this one were relatively the same everywhere online so no deal I can offer there.

Both of them are very close on the details, just don't have the secondary offset bezel which I've never liked anyways  ajb007/lol

Re: Budget Bond Collectors Resource

Those look great, thanks for the help!

I have the Brosnan Omegas post scheduled for this Friday and then the Craig Omegas for next week. The last post will focus on those odd watches: some of Moore's Seikos, the Dalton Rolex and Tag, things like that.

Cheers!
