    Croatia eh? I think that could be a great location, some lovely old towns and still unfortunately some deserted villages after the unpleasantness. Nice catch tp. -{

Apparently they film a lot of " Game of Thrones" there.

And the producers are now brainstorming for general ideas: what is the current threat of the world today?

    http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/02/24/james-bond-25-producers-currently-looking-for-the-worlds-next-big-scary-threat

The article also mentions Mark Strong's comment about how he thinks Daniel's done with it. Which I honestly don't think he is, as it was mentioned around the Skyfall release he's got 2 more....
    Yes. Consssssiderably.

It is true that I do indeed have some lovely parts ;)
But Croatia is a very varied country with some lovely historic towns and some stunning country. As a bond location it's a thumbs up from me.

I've always liked Bond in Eastern Europe.

And it will be relatively cheap to film there.

I thought the huge amount EON spent to film in Rome in SP was something of a waste.

the pic they gave reminded me of Sardinia from Spy who Loved me. i would love to see them do an Atlantis-style evil lair, since that was supposed to be Spectre, and Stromburg was supposed to be Blofeld before they lost the rights. And if its too classic bond to do an underwater lair, just have it be an oil rig like Diamonds are Forever, but have it look like Atlantis

I think they set themselves up for a "Licence Renewed" title, seeing as Bond quit the service. So a new actor would make even more sense, but I want Daniel Craig to come back for one more, mainly just so the media that was giving him crap can suck it. People want Madeleine to be in it so she can get shot in the pre-title sequence and the movie can be about revenge. Maybe, but I know Madeleine was supposed to be a bigger love interest than the usual bond girl (like up there with vesper and tracy), but what if they just started fresh, have Madeleine gone like they usually do with the bond girls. Maybe that brain needle missed its mark but, it caused some sort of delayed damage and Bond will lose his memory over time. Then he can be brainwashed and attempt to kill M. Obviously blofeld has to escape. and as for Hinx being alive, i say no. If the barrels didn't snap his neck like a twig, he is lost in the middle of the world's largest desert

After being flung from that train, Hinx got up, dusted himself off and jogged back home, took a shower and then began prepping for Blofeld's escape. -{ :D

It's too long since the last scuba-diving/underwater scene in the franchise, so bet there will be some stunning island and/or coastal location.
In consideration of the above, and having been used in Carte Blanche, I would like very much to see South Africa in general and Cape Town in particular.

    Good point about scuba action.

That is, of course, if Craig returns and doesn't mind scuba diving. The only reason we got that redundant and outright ludicrous plane chase in SP is because he didn't want to ski. 8-)

I am optimistic about a scuba scene because I take for granted that unfortunately he will not return and the new Bond will be eager to emerge from the shores in trunks to show his 6-pack... :D

Just curious....have never heard anything about Craig not wanting to ski. Where did that come from? I recall there was some silliness prior to Casino Royale regarding Craig allegedly not being able to drive a manual trans car.

Saw it in a video... Either Mendes or Craig had mentioned it, can't remember now.

I may be in the minority but I loved the snow sequences with the plane. I thought it
was very inventive and a great twist. Taking Bond to an obvious skiing location, yet
avoid having him on skis or snowdoards. :)

Too generic an action sequence, and inconsistent with Bond's objective. He sets out to protect Madeleine, but rams the plane up the car, almost hitting her. It starts off quite well - the exchange between Hinx and Bond as they drive/fly side by side was nice, but it quickly devolves into Bond jumping in head first instead of using his wits - a key component which sets Bond films apart.. It could have happened in any other movie.

I do agree with you though in that it's nice to see something else happen on the snow. Perhaps Q could have delivered a plane with some concealed gadgets and left it to Bond?

If only the weather had been better during the filming. Just witnesing how different and more "Bondian" the landscape around me looks in today's sunlight compared to yesterday's grey and foggy weather is very noticable.

Talking of Cooper( sorry this is going off topic) has anyone seen his portrayal of Fleming, have not seen it so tempted to order it off Amazon, seems to have no bad reviews

I saw it and didn't think it was so good. Charles Dance gave a much better performance as Fleming in Goldeneye. That's the one to see.

Agree I think cooper did a fine job but not convincing as fleming lacked realism , too much glamour
Dance's performance much stronger and real IMO

Cooper's Fleiming series was entertaining but Cooper doesn't look even remotely like Fleming. Dance was much more believable as Fleming. Didn't Sean Connery's son play Fleming in a bio?

Yes, Jason Connery did play Ian Fleming, but it was hardly a bio. . .a completely made-up WWII adventure with Fleming facing off against a villain who supposedly "inspired" Blofeld and the like. Pretty dire. . .
