I think that first measurement is a error either in the description or the measurement.

Sizing doesn't really seem right especially shoulders and back length. Based on the size chart I'd be a large or possibly an x-large but with out clear shoulder measurements it's hard to say. I wonder does anyone on the forum actually own one of the original jackets so we get some insight on fit?

I've asked Max for a clarification on sizing.

I'd guess I'd take a large. It'd still be a loose fit, but it is a linen blouson. I'd probably need the arm length of the large.

Nah nobody has a original here that I know of and unlikely - ultra rare and tiny amount produced.

The London store is tiny, very boutique and more a classic British heritage type leather goods shop then clothes.   Very small selection of clothes when I visited.

Westward queried first measurement so will see what comes back from them.

I am due to receive two sizes of the jacket fr a full review but we are still "discussing" the timing of those samples.  Hopefully that will help as I know there has been significant confusion on sizing and details.

Re: No Time To Die wardrobe: possible spoilers

Comparing it with the Mango jacket I have, just as a rough guide/comparison, I think that the back measurement isn't shoulder to shoulder, but the back length, from collar to waist/hem. My Medium Mango measures 64cm, and the chest is 57cm. Sleeve length is 64cm, but the sleeves are overly long on the Mango, in my opinion.

Yeah had a feeling that would probably be back length measurement.

And I think that's the first time ever that anyone has said that the sleeves are overly long on the mango. It sounds like a WWII spy conversation starter...

MAN does that look fantastic with the Trappers!

Sadly, I returned the RGT jacket because I just can't get over my texture aversion to waxed cloth.  I really wish they'd do a "dry" version in the same color.

Agree it is a little stiff for starters but all more excuse to wear it in!
My guess was the wax coating will wear off with time also becoming more supple and then it will look well slept in, like a good Barbour!

Stupid question or maybe even answered before but couldn´t find that out. With the RGT being confirmed and the similarities with the Billy Reid reversible jacket, should we conclude we did a wrong assumption thinking that was the one Bond was going to wear or does anyone see any potential to still see bond wearing the BR too?

Guess never say never until seen the film but I think its safe to assume the costume dept collect many items and test them out.   I think your right saying the RGT was quite probably preferred over the BR

I don't think there is potential for Bond to wear it so I think we can chalk that one up to a misfire....we have one in every movie!

I wondered about the colour of the RGT jacket. It looks more of a light green in some of the photos on here. I have this wax jacket and wondered if it was similar enough not to make the investment. Other than the collar (which I have been able to pop on mine) is the colour that different? Any feedback would be so helpful!

Certainly looks close enough to me in color. Very, very close to the color of my RGT for that matter. Took me a few seconds before I realized it was a close enough!

In any event, how is the fit on you? Because, as can be seen on folks wearing it in this thread and a general Google search, the real deal has a VERY flattering fit if you have the right body type for it (ie slim athletic).

The fit is very tight but flattering. I'm very slim and quite tall so it sits nicely after having worn it in for a while. I'm still tempted to trade in and get the RGT anyway. But this is a great alternative which could be picked up on Ebay for a lot less than the original $200.

Thanks guys for the clarification. I don´t believe there is anything to be sorry about. Detective work is not an exact science and you guys are right 99% of the times. 1 wrong identification per movie is an awesome performance to me ajb007/wink

Let’s say colour is close enough.

Actually you could double up with grey/ sand chinos, blue sunspel and desert boots and it would be a good inspired by SPECTRE look too - two for one!

Re: No Time To Die wardrobe: possible spoilers

As promised i have now heard back from the supplier for this alternative Woolly Pully with drawstring collar as per below:
https://www.outdoorknitwear.com/crew-ne … -1945.html

They have confirmed it is currently in production in the Navy colour, my other request was to see if they could do the elbow patches to match the shoulder ones and what the cost would be.

Ive since heard back after a bit of chasing and they are happy to supply me with the jumper in Navy, with drawstring collar and matching elbow patches. Timescale is that once ive received the invoice it will be a matter of days to get it and the additonal cost for the elbow patches is only £5!!

So all in all itll be £54.50 for the jumper with additional elbow patches. I think this will make for a very close to SA jumper at a fraction. The herringbone cuffs to the sleeves really finish this off and will give it a more polished finish opposed to alot of the £20 odd jumper off ebay etc i appreciate its not bang on and those wanting this actual jumper will simply buy it but those looking for a close as possible SA and not pay the NP price and dont want to start customising stuff themselves this may work for you as it will for me.

As this jumper seems to be of reasonable significance in the film its worth getting in my opinion but the likeliness of it getting regular wear casually for me isnt vast (unlike the RGT jacket and R&B Henley which ive practically lived in!). I will from time to time but not a daily piece so for £55 i think its worth snagging and my order is in the can!

Im happy to have got to the bottom of this one and anyone who wants to request the same can email them direct at:
mtoon@twkempton.co.uk - This person was very helpful and assisted me really well, the reason behind the delay in reply is that their contact method of their website doesn’t seem to work right as my previous attempts at emailing bounced back however this person was extremely helpful.

He is definitely wearing a size small R&B Henley for fitted look. The Medium would be too baggy judging from this picture.

Possibly, I have a medium and when I tuck the Henley in and roll up the sleeves it gives me the same look even without the suspenders. When the sleeves aren't rolled up you can see its not skintight around his wrist either. I'm gonna take an updated pic on this look soon.

I feel the same way about the fit. I haven’t found the R&B (in my normal size large) to be as loose fitting as many have here, especially when I roll up the sleeves and tuck in the hem. Craig is a muscular guy but this look isn’t skin tight.

A few days ago, I was talking to somebody who's work uniform includes Crye Combat pants. When I looked them up, they immediately reminded me of this outfit that Bond is wearing. These are not the same as the screen, but many of the elements are similar - wide belt loops, front pocket, etc.

Before where I thought they were snowboard pants, I think we can safely say he's wearing some brand of tactical combat pants. I'm just not having luck finding them with metal snaps and the built in ankle knife scabbard. Do we know what brands that the British Royal Marines where or Protection Teams wear?
