Re: Sales?

Reiss stuff is very good quality and this is a great price for this item. I buy loads of stuff from Reiss and i typically find it slim fitting - depends on if you are carrying any timber ajb007/smile if so size up as they are not normally baggy around the mid section.

Ohhhhh great find kadd!

Ordered - and seem to have an extra £230 still in my bank account, that wouldn’t be there if I’d gone done the OB route! Now, if they’d actually put a big, high collar on, like the original, I’d have been happy to pony up the extra, but not for what they have created for £300.

Thanks again kadd.

Happy to help you save a few quid! You can use it on some other Bond item  ajb007/cheers

bosoxfan - REISS items are on the slim side, so if you are in between sizes, I would say go up.

Re: Sales?

$30 bucks shipping to the US was a deal breaker for me but I do love the look of that polo

How is the sizing on these?  I've looked at the size chart but sometimes that is not the most accurate reflection of how an item fits.  I'm typically either an L or XL depending, would you say these run true to size or is it either a size up or size situation?

Selfridges have a sale on a REISS black half zip wool polo, that is similar to the OB Moonraker Version. Down to £65

I have one and think it’s great

Got mine this morning and whilst I normally take a Medium in most (6’2; 40” chest; 32” waist) there is no way the Medium would have worked. Went straight for the Large and there is no excess in there at all. I would suggest ‘size up’ as, by design, it is close fitting anyway.

Quality is really good. Looks great with the zip undone - and an absolute steal at the sale price.

=== And thanks for the ‘heads-up’ Kadd ===

Nowhere near as nice as the other alternative on here but VERY budget and ticks the boxes for the look!

Looks like it is worth a shot to me but I can't get through the checkout process, keeps rejecting both PayPal and credit card for some reason.

That’s strange I didn’t have any problems. Where are you located?

In Australia Scotch& Soda have 60% off sale. I’ve bought 3 pairs of Ralstons. Very pleased with them I’d tried them a couple of years ago but didn’t like the fit but I didn’t know you had to size down.

Re: Sales?

John Smedley’s have an outlet store in the UK. Found this for £49, which is a great alternative to the N Peal Spectre mock turtle neck. I ordered a Med and a Large. Medium gives ‘poster accurate’ tight fit (40” Chest, 32” waist, 6’ 2) but I’m keeping the Large as well, as it allows a little more ‘forgiveness’ to my slight ‘lockdown lard-ness’! Quality is as expected from John Smedley. It’s made from their sea island cotton.

Re: Sales?

Hey there:

I got emailed by my salesperson at the New York Rag & Bone store.  Everything, store wide (including sale items), is 30% off with free shipping.  I assume free shipping is only applicable for stateside buyers, but it never hurts to check.  They look to have the NTTD shirt in stock in several colors including the screen accurate one.

Re: Sales?

Not a sale - but a question not worth its own thread and this feels like the place: I have a Nordstrom gift card. I want the Billy Reid peacoat and I know Nordstom has had it in the past. Does anyone know if they restock that every year?

They have had it in all of the last 6 or 7 years. I don't see why this winter will be any different.

Damn this looks so tempting! The only thing that holds me back is the customs duty nightmare. Sometimes when shipping from the US to the EU, i end up paying double the price of the item.  ajb007/crap

ye but you have to pay the tax in advance here, I live in the EU too and I have to pay 187 € total which is still a good price for the Abingdon

Re: Sales?

I am getting 194€ which is also an excellent price but it shows me 0.0€ Duties when i go to check out.

So i guess it is not payed in advance in my case (shipping to Greece).  ajb007/rolleyes

Re: Sales?

The price shot up from 133 euro when I went to checkout to 202 euro and then shipping on top, plus customs to pay - think I’ll pass  ajb007/frown
