How about we do

OHMSS on Thursday night 19:00
TSWLM on Friday or Saturday morning 9:00 GMT and the same day followed by
MR on Friday or Saturday 19:00 GMT?

My 2 cents:

We don't want to burn out on these.  May I respectfully suggest that we limit this to two a week, keeping with Monday and Friday (like we just did for DN and GF)?  I get the sense that these time frames worked out for pretty much everyone, at least for now.

Re: Watching the 007 movies together?

I think I agree with Gymkata. Films that are universally loved like CR are of course good, but it's perhaps more fun to watch flawed and/or divisive films together. OHMSS should be next because it's Lazenby's only Bond, but I want to see DAF should be next in line. I think LALD, TSWLM (because it may be his best and Moore deserves it), MR or AVTAK.

Again I agree with you. The Corona restrictions will be in place for months, probably many months.  There's no rush. People want to spend time with their families, watch TV, watch non-Bond films and other stuff too. Twice a week is enough.

You want argument is the thing.  You want friendly disagreement vs everyone going 'that was great!' every 5 minutes.  I really appreciated the trivia bits that people threw into the last couple of viewings (especially from Barbel) but most of the discussion was 100% aligned along the same trajectory because there really wasn't much to argue about.

Now, if you do DAF or MR, you're going to get arguments.  I personally dislike DAF apart from a few scenes and adore MR, but there are plenty of people who feel differently.  That discussion could get lively and entertaining.

And dangit, I want to do a Dalton film...even LTK, which I detest...just to see Higgins participate and articulate why he hates it so.  Tell me that wouldn't be entertaining.

Exactly!  I mean, there are people who think that MOONRAKER is an amazing work of pure genius and then there are those who are wrong.  A friendly 'argument' while the film is playing between those two groups would (and should) be lively.

I agree, let's not rush things. Around two a week would be ideal  ajb007/smile

We've got 22 more Bond films to watch so I think that'll keep us busy enough! Also, as this is a Bond forum I'm assuming most members have the Bond collection, however they might not have a lot of the actor's other films available to watch.

Just as an example, I don‘t have the first 2 movies on any media available here.

So, should we continue with OHMSS on Friday morning 9:00 GMT to accomodate to the members from the Pacific region?

Re: Watching the 007 movies together?

So, I am strongly against putting DAF next which would be the 3 rd Connery movie.

I‘d like to see TSWLM and MR next - if possible in a row.

Would monday be too early because of the easter holiday?
What time should we start?
Should we start US West Coast evening time next which would be then in the middle of the night for us?

I’m working until 2000 bst on Monday. Us emergency workers don’t know what a bank holiday is lol

Re: Watching the 007 movies together?

At this time, I'm fairly wide open on Monday.  If we got back to the timeframe that we did DN or GF, I should be able to join.

As much as I dislike the movie, I'd vote for DAF so that we can actually have some lively discussion as to the film's merits (or lack thereof).  If not that, then I'd vote for TSWLM.

Re: Watching the 007 movies together?

There is no rule that we can't watch more Connery film later in the spring or even summer. I want to watch DAF With you all, but I see the point that it's time for Roger Moore now.
