Topic: Geo F. Trumper of Floris Shaving soap?

Hello Forum,

Happy Holidays to all members.

It has been a while since it was revealed that Trumper was the brand used by Daniel Craig. I wanted some feedback from other forum members who may have used either Trumper of Floris no. 89 shaving soap. Could any forum member provide feedback on which shaving soap is better? For example, which soap does not dissipates fast. Which soap lathers easy...etc.

Finally, looking to purchase a new badger shaving brush.  Any recommendations?

i just bought the eucris one and it smells very classic elite
the wooden bowl is nice to collect too , but the soap i havent used, i think i wont and keep it as a prop.

was wondering about fragrance too if anyone in the forum can explain which one is more preferred eucris edp or edt ?

i also got a sample of floris 89 but the smell is so woman - very sweet different from eucris

I had the Trumper soap and hated it. It smelled great but never lathered right for me. Ever. I’m using the floris now and I love it

I agree about the Eucris soap. Doesn't lather well at all.

I found the EDP a lot smokier, had none of the blackcurrant top note that the EDT has. Personally I prefer the EDT.

I use Eucris as my go-to shaving cream. Had issues as some others have posted getting it to lather in a bowl, so I just apply a dab to either cheek, then work it in with a water-warmed badger hair brush. Dries pretty quick so I don’t apply everywhere I intend to shave at once. Usually enough product left in the brush to allow for a few applications throughout the shave.
