Dailo's Downsizing - List Updated.

Personal circumstances mean it's time for me to offer some of my collection for sale, as many of you know I've been a prolific collector of Bond Die-cast from mainly from Corgi, but also Autoart, Johnny Lightening and Danbury Mint, with models from the early 60's to the present day.

I also have a number of limited edition ST Dupont, FE and SD items, many signed books, Gilbert cars/figures, vintage Airfix kits and a whole bunch of other items that could also go if the price is right.

I could make a list of everything (and may still do), but if you're looking for rare items to add to your collection I may be able to help.

PM me if you're interested.

Sorry to hear this dailo007. I'd be interested in a list of your items.

    Love to see a list -{

Thanks for the response so far, and DG don't worry I just need to raise a fairly sizable chunk of cash to cover an unexpected outgoing, so it's not the whole lot going, just enough to cover that so I guess you could call it a limited time offer, once the target is achieved then the vault will close once more.

Just for clarity I don't have any clothing items.

I'll get the list sorted out, so PM if you'd like to take a look.

dailo007, that's good to hear. It's hard to part with Bond stuff, but we sometimes have to do what we have to do. I think most of us here understand that. Glad to help out if I can.

Thanks again everyone for your support, I'll put together the list over the next day or so.

I'm not sure what the boards policy is on this, if you're happy to let me have personal email addresses that will make life much easier

Shaken but not yet stirred, and on the up side it means I get to collect it all over again in the future.

Thanks to all of you that kept me busy at the weekend with requests for pics and further info, lots of interest but unfortunately still no cash in the bank.

I hope I'm up to date with replies now, but may have had an issue with my AJB inbox getting overloaded, so if I've not responded please resend your request and I'll make sure I get back to you asap.

Still 99.9% available, I find it hard to believe there's not stuff here that people would like to add to their collection, is the lack of stated priced putting people off? Please feel free to ask questions, I don't bite!

If it's my location causing concern, I plan on shipping any UK sales back home myself before sending, so there won't be any customs issues, I know that won't help members in the US unless someone's planning a trip to Hong Kong.

Anyway, I have made a few updates to the list.

I will offer that the lack of pricing certainly makes it more time consuming...and it's always uncomfortable to have to proactively make an offer and not insult someone...

As The Mantis points out....it can be a fine line, monetary wise, between making an offer and not insulting someone....plus it is also tough times for many....a few years ago I would have snapped up several items, now I run to a MUCH meagre budget :(

Point taken, I guess I'm more worried about a long drawn out debate on my listing prices would create and the preconception people may then have. It's also very difficult when I have multiple examples of particular items e.g. I have 25 complete sets of the Corgi 261 with values between GBP250 to 600+

I'm not asking people to contact me with offers, I will let anyone who emails me with interest in an item have the price I'm looking for, where ever possible based on recent "actual" sales (not ridiculous eBay Buy-it-Now figures!) and research from auction sites and respected sellers such as QDT, it's then up to them to agree, decline or make a counter.

The only thing I'm really struggling to put a figure on is my FE GG (being No. 007), there is no precedence for that one!
  • Sir MilesSir Miles The Wrong Side Of The WardrobePosts: 27,630Chief of Staff
I think that's a sensible idea you have there....

As for the FE GG (007).....maybe that is one for eBay, to let market forces decide....?...

I absolutely understand the avoiding of potential debate...but I bet people on this board will be respectful to respect your assessment of value. In commerce and marketing if its easy to sell and easy to buy it becomes very convenient. As soon as you put incremental steps in the process become perceived as complex.
  • dailo007dailo007 Posts: 182MI6 Agent

I may be able to arrange for items to flown back and posted from the UK next month, so if anyone in the UK or EU buys between now and then it will be possible for you to avoid any potential import costs and obviously I can offer a far lower p&p charges.

Replica firearms will not be included in this offer unfortunately.
